If he’s one of your backup CBs you’ve got a very good CB group.
Not so sure about the “really” bit but totally agree with the second sentence. He’s a really good defender. On the ball however it’s woeful.
He does give the ball away cheaply, it stifled us in the first half. It wasn’t just him however Dier was woeful with his passing first half.Gets a lot of undue stick, no he isn’t as good as Romero, few are. He is a very capable defender though and in this set up I don’t worry about him playing.
Made tonnes of vital blocks and tackles today.
None of our back line did well in this regard today, they’ll have better games. He does give the ball away cheaply, it stifled us in the first half. It wasn’t just him however Dier was woeful with his passing first half.
Isn’t he injured? He’s decent defensively just poor on the ball. That back 3 together are poor going forward. I think If dav plays lenglet needs to play so we have 1 ball player in there
Dier was really dier today!!! None of our passing in 1st half was good. Wasn’t just sanchezNone of our back line did well in this regard today, they’ll have better games.
Sounds better if you say 2nd choice RCB imho.
Potential. FFSI like that he's 26 yo (playing in a position that doesn't peak until late 20s/early 30s) and on his 4th manager with us (2 of which were shambolic) and people are writing him off.
I'll weigh his time under Conte heavier into consideration of his potential more than his time under Jose and Nuno. (what a mess of a sentence that is. me speak english?)
Nah, fine now and was on the bench.Isn’t he injured?
Does it surprise anyone else when you realise Davinson has been at the club for five years already?
Dude's really stepped up to a new level since Jose left. I don't like to heap blame on him for poor form, but there are some players who were obviously not in a good place with him at the wheel.
