Also, he is good on the ball. There was a moment when two attacking players were pressing him and he has outplayed them. Also made some decent passes today. I don't know why he was so shaky and uncomfortable last season

If he’s had a good Copa that’s great, it means we can sell him for a decent fee to a Spanish club and replace him with a CB more comfortable on the ball.

We need a bonafide left footed CB; Dier and Reggie have no understanding whatsoever. Reggie is good going forward, can't defend to save his life.

Everyone was shaky Mourinho was waiting to hang them out to dry after everygame in the press and in front of the team who wouldn't be playing on eggshells. It obviously affected Sanchez more than others.

Sanchez has always been poor on the ball, it's totally unfair to blame every single issues in the squad and with players on Jose.

At Ajax he was poor on the ball, under Poch he was poor on the ball. Not sure how anyone can watch Sanchez play and think otherwise.

He really does need to go, along with his partner dier. They are not up to it.
I don't know if they are or are not.

But, I would say, that Nuno (and Paratici) are capable of making that determination.

I do think that Dier's best season was when he played as a DM, who essentially just dropped in between Alderweireld and Vertonghen - and played as a back-3.

Its still not clear what formation Nuno will use - but I could see either, or both, playing well in a back-3 with the right partners.

It's totally fair. It can't be mere coicendence that every one of our defenders were making howlers on such a regular basis. If it was one or two I would agree with you, but literally every single one of them had at least one howler per match.

I think it's possible that he'll have a good career elsewhere but I don't think he'll handle the Prem consistently.

Hoping his Copa America performances help gain interest in him.

what about all his other “shaky” performances when mourinho wasn’t in charge?
