These blokes on Sky don't half talk a load of tosh regarding Rose.

Apparently he's hungry to prove people wrong and would go to WBA!!

He has spoken frequently about his dad’s drinking and how he decided never to follow that path. I don’t know what he’s holding in his hand there, but I’d be surprised if he drank it, if it’s beer.
Are you not thinking about Defoe?
He's deffo tee-total, but I've not heard that about Rose.

Feel for Rose. Said what we all say in here and his career never got back on track after that. I hope he can get a good move and find some form again.

We don’t ALL say it and he has nobody to blame but himself for any damage his done to his career as a result of slagging off his employers publicly and insulting his colleagues in the process. In what walk of life would that be acceptable? We joke about the Google comment by reality is that a) he was once a player that needed to be googled until he developed with us so why shouldn’t other players have that chance and b) at that time he was playing without the soon to be World Cup winning captain in goal, England first choice two right backs (one just sold) the centre back pairing of the highest ranked international team, arguably the best central midfield pairing in the premiership, and Kane, Son, Dele and Eriksen who had just sued 69 league goals between them as we finished 2nd.

Anyway, I don’t subscribe to the point of view that his interview has anything to do with his decline. Truth is, smart from a couple of months in early 2019, he’s been mainly poor since his injury halfway through the season before that. Had he ever strung together that level off form again, he’d probably still be first choice.

If he does have the option to go to West Brom he’d be mad to turn it down regardless if they’re one of the relegation favourites.

To be fair I think he's dug his own grave. I accept he's had mental health issues but you can't consistently talk shit about your employers in the media, while not performing on the pitch, and then expect them forthcoming with a contract offer.

He's his own worst enemy and mental health issues doesn't excuse it. Depression doesn't make you seek out a member of the gutter press and slag the club and fellow players off. It doesn't make you act like billy big bollocks to your new manager. It can affect motivation, but motivation hasn't been the issue with him, its his constant lip flapping.

Difference is we pay to support the club, whereas he gets paid by them.

Constantly trash your employer in any walk of life and you'll get the boot quick smart. He's fortunate he's in the one profession he can do it and still get paid.

Hmm didn't Aaron Lennon also have mental issues some years back?? ..... maybe we should leave out the Yorkshire-boys from our transfers wishlist.

I reckon it's lot more prevelant than the few players that bravely speak about it. It's said that 1 in 4 people struggle with mental health issues and while they may lead a privileged lifestyle, that comes with it's own set of challenges.
This current pandemic isn't helping much either, with all these bubbles and living in isolation.

What would you do if Kane came out this year and said I wanna win things we need to sign more high profile players not players I have to google. Personally I'd back him and hope the club listened and took action. Obviously with Corona we're restricted right now but not when Rose was saying it.

Any way I wanna win some stuff now. I could handle being in and around it with Poch because we played mostly good attacking football. If we are playing to win now and not always being the most attractive we need to be all out to win and sign the right players.
