So much for the Tottenham 'family'
if we can't handle the odd member
that under pressure steps out of line.

All this should have been
headed off at the pass
before it got out of hand
Perhaps all parties have learned a lesson.
The Tottenham ‘family’
Gave him the chance to rebuild
To do his talking
On the football field
But he played poorly
So lost his place
And how he dealt with it
Was a disgrace
So now he’s estranged
Ostracised
There’s nowhere else
For Danny to hide
On and off the pitch
He’s just been shit
He’s made his bed
He can lie in it

Is having opinions the same
as being credible
He spoke not only tame
but not every word was edible

He wants to play
But he has his own game
Due to perceived delay
In his self-entitled fame

But behind it all
is just a boy
He tries to be standing tall
But he widely overplayed his toy

Phone up Jermaine Defoe
Ask him how he staid in the game
Ask Levy to pay all expenses for following Defoe's routine as a compromise
Get back on the market in January
Let bygones be bygones

Defoe would say 'play in a position where you do not need to run much and can rely on natural talent and instinct. And do yoga.'

But it is a shame Rose's game is based on relentless athletic aggression and after his serious knee injury he has not got back to the same levels of physical condition. Even in his peak years he did not actually assist or score much (for an attacking wing back / full back), and he was never the best defender. What he did was dominate the left side of the pitch, make sure he won every 50-50 and push their right sided offensive player backwards, through force of will and athleticism. His ship has sailed.

Very pleased to observe the renewed interest
in poetic expression,
based falsely I assume on my line structure.
I rarely use rhyme.
except for fun
It's very easy to make
the sense the slave to the rhyme.

Poems don't have to rhyme,
it's more in the rhythm
on the stress and line length.

See blank verse(Shakespeare) or the more modern free verse
which is the dominant form these days.

None of this helps Danny of course

A Tottenham player called Rose
Got right up Dan Levy's nose
He went off in a huff
until we'd all had enough
and now he hasn't a hope in hell of getting back in anyone's good books or the team.
which serves him right I suppose

Oh Danny Danny what have you done
You’ll never be up there with Bale Kane or son

you could have worked harder, left as a legend

instead you’ve come across as a big screaming bellend.

you wanted a move, to Madrid or Milan, right now tho you’d struggle to turn out for Wigan.

now go take the money, stick it in the bank, your attitude tho has been really w..k

ciao Danny.

In his attempt to" stick it up Levy " he has lost his common sense . Watford wanted to sign him last season but his ego got in the way as he saw himself as entitled to a " move to a top club " . He made the comment at the start of the season that " he only wanted to play football "
and yet again turned down Watford in a loan move my question is Why ? if he " only wanted to play "
His insulting comment to the club and the players the club signed " I have to google the players we sign " was unforgivable .
In his early years he was either a left back or a left winger and in truth not very good at either . After a time he played as a wing back and it suited him and the team but this success was for about two years as along the way he lost his focus and has been poor .
In 13 years he has played 194 games roughly 14 games a season that says it all really because in my honest opinion in that time he has had two brilliant years the rest has been mediocre to poor . He has seen Walker go on a big money move to City the jealosy he had over Walkers windfall led him to say " pay me what I am worth " was born out of frustration .
It has made him feel that he has been undervalued and underpaid whereas if he had tried his best and played his best he would have got a new contract with an increase in income . But he chose to play up and talk up its the wrong move with Levy .
It must be said if a player has deserved more money Levy has come up with the goods .
So for me for Rose read Jealous / petulant / stubborn / and overated.
The funny part of this whole saga is the comparison to the player that has arguably never been first choice LB in his entire Spurs career, Ben Davies.
- Works hard,
- never complains about his status in the squad,
- never a negative word to the media,
- always available to play the role the manager needs even when it never really suited his natural game and,
- now later in his career looks like transitioning from good solid LB to a good solid LCB with a much longer career span.

I wouldnt be surprised if Rose was paid much more than Davies as well.

He crossed the line between outspoken and unprofessional imo. So no sympathy from me.

Danny starting for U23. CM though ?

Good grief
He's throwing it all away now.
Also maybe (I don't know who mind) stopping one of our own from maybe becoming our next player to break through into the first team squad!

Davies is still only 27 (3 years younger than Rose), so he might only be about halfway through his stint at Spurs. I think a lot of people overlook ed how young he was when he was signed as an understudy to Rose (only 21!). He doesn't exactly rely on lightning pace now, so it's not like he'll suddenly tail off and become ineffective like some ageing fullbacks. I'm confident he could be a useful rotation player for us at LB & LCB into his 30s, and even in his mid-30s could be a very useful defender for a newly promoted / struggling PL side (maybe end his career back at Swansea).

They are reportedly both on about £60k p.w.
I believe when Davies originally signed he was on about £20k less than Rose - that would have made a lot of sense at the time, because Davies was initially signed as back-up for Rose.
Davies signed a new long-term contract in Summer 2019, at which point he probably negotiated a pay rise - Rose kicking off and losing his starting spot would have helped Davies case for a pay rise. Rose wasn't offered a new deal, despite being in the last 2 years of his contract, so his wages remain the same as when he signed his 5-year contract - so just inflation / development of the Spurs wage structure would have given him a circa £20k pay rise if not for "this whole saga".

He started his career as a CM at Leeds, moved to LM, and then Harry converted him into a LB with us.

I suspect White will play CM and Rose will be LCM, covering Cirkin when he breaks forward.
