Turns out that when you throw your toys out the pram and down tools for 18 months, you can't just switch it all back on again once you get your way. Nobody to blame but yourself Christian. Enjoy the Chinese Super League! You'll have every chance at trophies there I'm sure :)

Claiming he threw out his toys and downed tools is plain wrong, and you know it. He did his job professionally, but his head was not in it - and that is a very human thing that is not easily fixed, even if you want to. Doesn’t help when your own fans are screaming obcenities at you, either.

You can dislike him for coming out and saying he wants to leave, especially the timing, but please refrain from bullshit.

I left a job after 4 years but my heart wasn’t in it the final year. I really tried but I couldn’t muster the same energy and commitment as the previous three years. I was ready for a new challenge but had to bide my time for the right opportunity to leave. It’s normal. Christian wanted to leave and it dragged out through no fault of his own and he couldnt just switch it back on. I’m fully behind him. He gave many great years and stayed longer than he needed to.

Not saying that I want Christian back at the club but the report that he is on massive wages seems to be a fabrication...

Report: Tottenham's Christian Eriksen, Inter Milan Agree to 4.5-Year Contract. Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen has reportedly agreed a contract with Inter Milan until 2024. According to The Times' Gary Jacob, the deal will earn him around £100,000 per week after tax.

Like I said before he was a massive idiot not running down the remaining months of his deal. He would have had more options. Him and his agent really fucked up.

Depends on the source, as others claim he is significantly above 200k.

Hmmm so the other journalists quoting higher are seemingly fabricating their reports, but this one is right on the money?

Always amazes me how journalists "know" every players wages at every top club around the world. Must be an awful lot of people at these clubs breaking confidentiality laws these days.

Or perhaps they are just grabbing numbers out of their arses?

So if he makes 200.000 before tax and pays around 46% tax (national 43% + 3 % local) that is 108.000 after tax...

I dont really want Eriksen back although I do think we lack some creativity particularly where teams play a low block.

I dont get why people are lambasting him for wanting to leave, he was entitled to leave and it was clearly not about money. He also stated his intentions clear. The issue is that Levy wanted x amount which he wanst going to get. Eriksen wanted a fresh challenge which happens after being somewhere for so long.

Unfortunately for Eriksen he went to a team who is managed by Conte who perhaps didnt want him and to boot there has been this big huge pandemic which meant he has been living in no mans land.

Perhaps bring him back on loan especially if we are fighting for the title and give us something else. I can see someone like Dele going on loan and Eriksen coming back on loan.

Looking at the thread title and where the thread is still located, is almost like he was loaned out.

As much as there may still be better options out there, I will take him back in a heartbeat if the price and his mind is right.

He still can pick the lock with his passes. May be vital for our push to the title. At least he's proven with us he can be a source of creativity. Other players may still need to find their feet. We are almost a third into the season and we are in good position.
