Rip the band aid off and just let him go on a free now. Best for all involved.

Think that’s just cutting off our nose to spite our face. We have a mounting injury list, plus other players that can’t be relied on fitness wise.

He can still contribute.

But overall how much will it benefit us?

Minimal in my opinion. I'd say others are more likely to rise to the challenge without him in the picture.

How's he going to perform between now and the end of the season? He'll be shit. Just like he has for over a year.

This summer was the first & only (outside of now) time we should have considered selling him. After seeing how we replaced Walker why the fuck would we want to get rid of an even more influential player? It would have been a disaster. Even last year when everyone said he sucked for half the year he won us a lot of points.

He doesn’t have to start most matches and despite everyone being frustrated with his level of performance ( me included) there are times when he has made a bit of a difference.

Hasn't contributed much in the last 12 months. Don't see how it will change and it surely sends a wrong message out to the rest of the squad by playing him ahead of others.

He doesn't want to be here. We don't want him here. It's for the best.

So far it seem he get into the side in front of Lo Celso, proably due to his status in the group. If he's not there the manager have an easy decision, or non decision. Think it will be for the best the sooner we depend on the players that will be with us going forward.
Far worse with our team at the moment is the lack of dedication and walking football. We know his talent, but we need rid of those that aren't invested.

Ha you've nailed it. That's exactly what it is - walking football...

From what I have read, he is getting in ahead of Lo Celso due to his better understanding of movements and runs by our forward players especially Son, Alli and Kane as they have been playing together for years. He represents a more reliable option to get a result for our manager at present but this is definitely a short term decision when considering who will be here next season. Hope Mou will start thinking longer term.

As much as I want Christian to be replaced so we can move on it would be a terrible move by the club.

You would show other players with similar ideas of letting their contract run down you just need to perform bad and show some half herted effort and you can even get your move earlier.
There will be more and more players run down their contracts because agents will advise them so to get signing fees and a big salary.

Di Marzio saying fee could be lower than 20 because Vecino could be included in deal. Anyone?

Pretty sure we've followed him for a while, certainly before he went to Inter. Tall and combative midfielder. Not a world beater but probably the type Mourinho would appreciate.
