These Eriksen lovers keep on going on about how good he is well I have watched or been at almost every game and he has for 9 months been average to poor and if any body has been taken in by FIFPRO then they need help .
In my opinion he has turned up in one match and that was Brighton and as I have said on here before the Villa match was changed by a positional change Winks who was lying deep was replaced by Eriksen in a foreword position it gave Villa problems as he was filling in an area that was prior to his coming on a vacant area and the villa players had to move from their rigid positions to mark him thus giving the other players room . He was not involved in any of the goals . It was a positional change that altered that game and a misconception to say that it was Eriksen that changed the game as you could have put any player there to fill that empty space
If we keep persevering with him in his current mindset ( get me out of this shithole ) then it is going to cost us big time.
I await those that say I know nothing about football . All I do is follow what my eyesight sees and I live in reality not perception.

I think part of it is that he's got too comfortable here. He just walks into the team. When you start to feel like that you can often start to coast a bit. It's not even a conscious decision, but it can have a big impact on performance. Last nights performance was probably his worst for the club so it will be interesting to see how the manager reacts.

I've never for one second thought of Eriksen as a 'coaster', that is until the Olympiakos game. If that's where his mind is right now he needs to be benched until he can be arsed to turn up. It's a huge pity that LoCelso is out right now as I could see him getting some time in the 10 role.

The thing is I am grown up and don't think like some child idolising a pop star/footballer.

If you were you wouldn't being categorising some fans as fan boys and Eriksen lovers.

I mean we're all on the same team here aren't we?

Maybe there's some people who are willing to get behind one of our best players who has been at the club for 6 years, they are called supporters.

Your posts are coming across as agenda driven bilge.

I don't understand the point you're trying to make. Literally nobody disputes that Eriksen has been poor for a long time. You're shouting at an empty room.

The thing is I am grown up and don't think like some child idolising a pop star/footballer.

It's funny because it's so far from the truth. If you look back in this thread Eriksen has been criticized plenty (...and rightly so because he's not performing at the high levels we're used too). In my opinion Eriksen is actually criticized more than certain other players. In a way it's understandable because he hasn't signed a new contract and he's made it public that he's open to a move - so I get that he's an easier target to attack than say Kane and Alli. However I find it quite absurd how some keep bringing up the CL final for example as if Eriksen somehow solely bares the response for us not winning the CL trophy. It's just an dishonest way of making a point that most on here already agree on.

The truth is that this Spurs team has played under par for a long long time. No one can with a straight face say that Alli and Kane look as good as they did 2 seasons ago. We've had some moments of brilliance from Son and Lucas and Sissoko has improved immensely, other than that the whole team has underperformed. We have gotten some good results but we haven't really played well for almost two seasons now. Maybe, just maybe Eriksen form and overall play has more to do with that than anything else.

Its been said we are all on the same team well we are wearing different colour shirts because I am all for constructive criticism but to be sensible you have to take on many points of view and mine is only one of a multitude the only thing I ask is try to remember we are all fans and want what is best for the club and my views are never and will never be anti what's good for spurs.

Good point . But I am just saying if you look at the list of the top 100 FIFPRO players you can pick out countless players that are not there that should be there and countless players that should not be there and these FIFPRO people are not to be taken as gospel.

So when Zidane gets the sack and Real come in for Poch...how does Eriksen think his behaviour and performances will go down when it comes to landing his big move to Real then!?

Big game for this guy. He owes us

He doesn't "owe" us anything tbf. You can't tell me that every day you go to work you give absolutely everything, some days you phone it in just like everyone else. What we need is a step up in levels and creativity across the board so we aren't reliant on individual players winning games for us.

For me all our issues come down to the RB positions as we need creativity there to take the pressure of the centre mods. Too often we end up really narrow needing some incredible eye of the needle pass to break sides down.

The Liverpool model would work very well for us.

Eriksen is the sort of player that makes the game look simple, he has a wonderful array of football intelligence to his play, so I say this in all consideration.
The time has come for us to part ways. For the fact Eriksen made it public he'd like another football/lifestyle challenge (to me) his position moving forwards is now untenable. Any below performances any bad result he will be the first person people will point towards this has a negative effect.
Tottenham is bigger than any player and I would back Poch to drop Eriksen completely from all first team actives until his moved on in January transfer window.
Eriksen has been a great servant to our club for no hard feeling. Vertonghen Toby Wanyama Rose should all following him out the door.

Read an article where Arnautovic at West Ham and Sanches AT United had a negative affect on the other players mainly with the ones left out so they could play . I wonder if Eriksen is having the same affect on our teams dressing room .
Who knows but its definitely not making them try harder as he appears on the surface to not be putting in 100% and they would feel they could do better than Eriksen.
