Tough to imagine eriksen running out for Europa League.

He won’t play in the Europa, in Manure’s past is anything to go by they’ll play the kids until the latter stages of the competition.

Realistically it will be big wages and a top 4 push for Eriksen. The only difference with us will be CL football and even then our profession is very much such to signing 2-3 quality players in the next 40 hours or so.

This whole situation seems a bit similar to Poch and Toby.

I don't mean this a bad way, as he is our best manager for a very long time, but Poch does not seem to forgive players who decide they want out at any time.

He is almost saying to them, once you start to think of leaving then you are leaving no matter what.

It could also be Poch's greatest strength as he gets absolutely everything out of his players. He says to them, you are either with us or not.

It appears Eriksen is not with us anymore and even if he did want to come back, he has burnt his bridges as far as Poch is concerned.

Interested in others thoughts.

That would be fine if he cut out his constant chatter about how he has turned down so many offers.

I love the togetherness thing. Might believe it more if Poch wasn't so non commital about his future every 3 weeks, but that's for elsewhere.

Also think its a very handy excuse for when the club sells a big player. 'Oh we didn't want him'...yeah only because he asked to leave.

Poch is only non committal about his future, so it means Daniel backs him.

Believe me, he is committed to Spurs and the players are committed to him, mostly.

Otherwise, we would not have overachieved like we have recently.

Anyway, back on topic, Christian has obviously lost his committent, so he is gone.

will always have a soft spot for him even if he leaves us for man utd.

but they will give him a really huge paycheck that we cannot offer. will be sad to see him go.

There are rumours we were offering him 200k per week and possibly Man U 225k per week, so not astronomical difference.

Just £1.3million per year - even on a footballers unreal wages - I’m sure you’d consider seriously an extra £25k per week

ITK suggested yesterday that it does. It matter how much we offer him he wants to go, as things stand

We absolutely must not shift this guy to utd until a replacement is completely assured. Very unhappy about him going there tbh and it will be a million times worse if we are left holding our dicks re the other deals.

It sucks selling Eriksen to a rival, but money or no money is something Levy cares about.

To be fair he's said for a long time he has wanted a new challenge, RM and Barca apparently are his dream destination but neither wanted / want him.

He made his position clear ages ago, that he wanted to try other things if the option came up, unluckily for him it didnt, but he also set in motion then the wheels that turned to end up where we are now. Its no secret if you cross Poch your as good as gone, so it was always going to be the case once he went public of his desires he would inevitably get moved elsewhere.

I dont really care if he goes to Man Utd to be fair, especially if we get the players in were currently talking about, its disappointing he has gone for the dollar, but i dont see OGS being manager there for long to be perfectly honest, they have a few more years of turmoil ahead of them yet.

If anything it'll bring the squad closer as they will be keen to push on with the new recruits.

Incidentally it looks like Poch's master plan is to play Argentina's upcoming 1st 11 for Spurs hahah.

Gazzaniga, Foyth, Lo Celso, Dybala, Lamela... worry part about that is international call up for Argentina would decimate our squad!

Maybe he will go to Juve instead in a swap for Dybala.

He’s been a right tool to be fair.

If he wanted Real Madrid and no one else then he should have kept quiet, see if the move panned out or not.

Nailing his colours to the mast and looking disinterested in pre-season has done him no favours with the fans nor I imagine, the club.

I feel I've been understanding of eriksens situation, I've not said I'll lose respect for him or anything like that but I'll be so fucked off with him if he is detriment to our window. If he fucks our transfers up because he's holding out for a club that doesn't want him then It'll be hard not to be at least a little resentful.

I’ll find it very difficult seeing him wear Uniteds colours, especially if he starts to make a difference there.

Hold your nerve and sell abroad.

I'm still very much hoping that Eriksen himself won't want to make the move to Utd and that he will reject it on the basis that there are still 3 weeks to find a move to Europe - which we all know is what he wants.

Atletico Madrid are being touted as a possible destination after they wanted James Rodriguez. I heard on the Totally Football pod yesterday that Real are now unwilling to sell to ATL because of how it will look after they got pasted 7-3 by them in pre-season. So it stands to reason that ATL could move for Eriksen still.

If he goes to United I hope that Levy makes Woodward pay a premium and I feel like he can. Despite Eriksen only having a year left, I have always been a firm believer that OGS really really likes Eriksen. Just as Pochettino as a soft spot for argentinians I'm certain that OGS believes he'll have some special scandinavian connection with Eriksen. OGS seems to like down to earth, hardworking 'lads' that remind him of the golden Yanited era, which is why someone like Pogba will never be a good fit with OGS in charge.

If Eriksen agrees to go there is another matter but I have a feeling that United is pushing much harder for this deal than they let on.
