Love eriksen and wish he would stay, but if he’s not going to sign get him out and a replacement in ASAP

Herc just posted ITK that his heart is not here. Sorry to hear that. He was a great servant of the club and will be difficult to replace. Replacing him with a quality player who wants to be here and give his all is still a far better option.

Soooo if CE is done for, where does he end up? I reckon Juve - just a gut feeling, though that would be at the very most a sideways step.

I think Lo Celso will be in regardless. He's not a direct CE replacement. Although he played further up this year, GLC is more of an attacking box to box player who will be a hoss in our midfield. The CE replacement would be Dybala or Fernandes. Fernandes is more of a like for like similar style player. Dybala can play 10, wide forward, striker, and shadow striker. I'd prefer Dybala because he has more tactical versatility and he's more proven at the top level, but Bruno is very good as well. Both he and Dybala are very creative, just in different ways. Bruno is more of a distance shooter and passer, whereas Dybala has both of those traits, but is also an elite dribbler.

Having watched us in pre-season there aren't many better options than us unless he wants a few easy trophies at a Juve or Bayern.
RM are a basket case and I'd steer well clear of them next season as I suspect they'll be closer to third than first.
Yep, Athletico destroyed them, yes it was a friendly but they have bought really well this summer, whereas Madrid looks a circus

IF Eriksen really is off, Bruno and GLC inbound would be about as well as we could have conceivable done this window. (Dybala was always a dream but not realistic)

I can’t imagine they are going to be easy deals to complete. Let’s hope we get them over the line because realistically Eriksen has to go if he doesn’t sign the contract. It just can’t happen before his replacement is here.

I just put a tenner on him going to Madrid anyway.

Haha....Nope.
Two recent champions league finals on the football side, and even if Serie A is weak they still have to win it and it’s not like it’s Scotland.

Then on the non football side, he gets to play for one of the historical super powers, he gets to live in a wonderful city with amazing culture (and better weather, yes that is important) and maybe as young man in his prime he likes the idea of exploring new things.

People are way too myopic about the reasons for which a player might want to change club.

Does he even have any options at this point bar sitting his contract out. Hardly been clubs lining up with bids to sign the bloke

Seems wierd that he would have agreed a deal in principle a couple weeks ago and not signed yet. That actually makes me a bit angry as a fellow dane.

I'm one of Eriksen biggest fans in here (surprise), it would be absolutely disastrous if we lost him.

But getting GLC + BF in the other way kind of excites me.

However now just seen from Sky that it would be either BF or GLC for Eriksen. If that happens I will absolutely go full Levy-out mode. That we can't afford!!!

English window closing early continues to be an incredibly stupid decision. Real Madrid or any other European giant would always wait out the English window before making a serious approach if they thought we were desperate to sell before leaving on a free.

I would suggest that Sky are just rehashing what Dan Kilpatrick said and that was his opinion not necessarily fact
