Im 100% sure we will have that in mind but probably more for summer then now. I think he'd do really well in the Dutch league also.

The question is, if Gil goes do we need another WF? I guess until summer we can do with Werner LW but it really isn't his strongest position.

Solomon's return in the next few weeks may ease the blow as well?

Depends on whether Solomon is likely to return soon I guess.

With Solomon coming back:

Son, Solomon, Richi, Werner, Deki, Johnson - Bryan - can't see him getting in, absent another injury crisis.

You can add few on top of that in case of emergency (Sess, Donley, play Lo Celso there for odd game and so on)

As others have pointed out, with Werner and Solomon I don't believe it's an area we will invest in further in terms of bodies in for this month even if Gil departs.

However, it's still a requirement to upgrade so would like to see a buy and loan back with the likes of Nusa/Bardghji and then looking at bona-fide upgrades on Richarlison, Johnson and Deki who suit Ange's system better in the summer.

This may potentially be where someone like Nusa in the summer fits in?
That would certainly be the hope if he does go especially if we bought him now with a loan back so he's be HG. We wouldn't need a 4th LW option now but if Gil goes then another quality addition on the wings will be needed come summer.

Is there any point in these continuous loans, can’t be good for him and I can’t see how it’s helping his value as his contract just runs down. Why don’t we just sell at a reduced fee?

If he's not having a PL loan, then it's pointless. Might as well sell instead.
Problem is I don't think anyone in Europe will be able to afford him now, at least nobody who would want him. Im sure we would probably prefer a straight sale also but it realistically probably isn't an option. I agree it would be ideal to find a PL loan but it would only be worth it if he was guaranteed a starting spot. What doesn't make sense is letting him rot on the bench for another half season. We did that for both the last two season's and i'm sure it hasn't helped his development.

Loan him until he grows. Could be a while lads.

Johnson? By all accounts Ange wanted him for his own system? Not sure there will be any talk of 'upgrading' a player he clearly wanted only a year after signing him.

Good football exists outside of Premier League. And he's linked with 2 good clubs playing attacking football under 2 really good managers
Absolutely but that’s not helping us, he isn’t going to play so get rid

Problem is he didn’t exactly pull up trees during previous loans. When I saw him on YouTube after we had just signed him, my first thought was he us just going to get knocked about in the prem lge. It happens all the time, he doesnt help matters by falling over at every opportunity.
The likes of Modric are slight but still very strong, Bryan just isn’t like that. No doubt he has talent but he’s not for the premier lge.

And it will cost a lot of money to upgrade on Deki, who plays nearly every second of football in this team. As you say, Ange has signed off on Johnson, and if he's also into Werner it suggests his desired profile of forward may have changed a little from what he's used before, which is natural given the physicality and speed of this league.

What's also encouraging is that Paratici has learned from early signings like Gil and Gollini and the next iteration of incomings have been tailor made for this league.

We absolutely need to get him playing football somewhere else this window; whether on loan or a permanent move. He’s just not suited to us / Premier League football.

Werner was clearly rusty and offered at least 5x the threat Bryan did off the bench today.

I actually think he has done rather well every time he's come on lately. As a goal threat? Not at all. But as someone who keeps the ball moving and adds some urgency to our attack, absolutely.

That said, it's probably not enough to justify keeping him around when some of the injured/absent players return. Probably best for both us and him if he gets to play regularly somewhere else.
