Yeah, it's a burgeoning field - not surprised. You should read up about the inner workings of injuries and physios in a thread I made about 10 years ago, given I've had close to now 15-16 years working in the sports medicine field.

I appreciate your thoughts. I just can’t believe everyone has such strong views in areas that they have no genuine knowledge about. And this goes to every aspect of running the club imo. But I have been banned from most places where I can do most damage. 😆 Oh well.

Conte himself stated he wasn’t happy with the medical department but also the number of injuries and the recovery time of said injuries. I’m sure their must be stats around but I don’t have, them, just 40 years of supporting spurs and reading team sheets over the past few seasons

As a result, you only care about Spurs related injuries, which can skew your perspective about injuries as a whole and how other teams are doing. I've yet to pull up the numbers from the past 2 seasons but I do have the 2020-2021 stats for some perspective.

As it concerns days lost and games missed, Tottenham was actually in the top 5 best clubs, in 2020-2021 season, when it came to managing injuries and rehabilitating players back. Keep in mind this is a general view but does offer some insight into how our medical team has done previously. I'm sure if I pull up some threads from that season, I'll have no problem finding at least 10 posts stating either that our medical teams are incompetent or the worst in the league.

Days Lost
Chelsea - 454
Arsenal - 644
Aston Villa - 647
Tottenham - 651
West Brom - 660

Games missed
Chelsea - 54
Arsenal - 86
Aston Villa/ Tottenham/ Fulham/West Brom/ - 88
Man City - 96

Guess that also means that Perisic will likely stay this season. Leaving us with Son, Solomon, Deki and Perisic as our wingers.

Does anyone else find it annoying how the Spurs app‘s push notifications are basically clickbait headlines? Like, for this news it was “Midfielder undergoes surgery”. Now I’m like, “is it Bissouma? Is it PEH? Is it an academy kid? Is it a club legend in his 70s who has had heart surgery?”.

Why is my own club, whose bloated app I willingly installed on my device, trying to trick me into viewing content I already care about? They’re not even selling advertising space on the app!?!

To be fair, was there anything Conte was happy with?

Despite my facetious comment I'm delighted he's coming back, I'm excited to see what plans Ange has for him. He seems willing learner, he has bags of skill and he's a tenacious presser which should all suit out current system
Me too. Obviously there's the concern about his size - I'd kind of hoped he would have just naturally filled out and bulked up a bit by now but that hasn't happened - but aside from that there's lots to like. He's clearly very good technically, and whenever I've seen him play he's looked like somebody who's prepared to put a proper shift in.
