I'm not sure they add anything like the same thing

For me, he's in competition with Ndombele, Alli and Lo Celso for the attacking midfield spot

Well he is played on the wing by Nuno. So......

He adds and has much more to him that Moura has for me. I bet he will score more and assist more than Moura does anyways.

Don't get me wrong, you're absolutely right in that. I just happen to think in the medium term, he won't be played as far forward.

I'm probably wrong!

If I see one more agile player ruin himself by bulking up…

I doubt Nuno is suggesting he become a bodybuilder, just gain a few kilos of muscle mass.

Look at Jack Grealish now compared to a couple of years ago. You could even look at Kane or Foyth as examples of players who were probably slightly too skinny in their early playing days but have now added a bit of bulk without it hindering their movement.

I'd like to see him used on the right, with Lo Celso CAM. Son on the left and Kane up top obviously.

Think that would give us a lovely balance and blend of qualities in attack, along with energy and great interplay.

I'd have him in the 10 role personally with freedom to go where he likes. He's still young though so plenty of time for that.

He said left wing is his best or favorite position, I liked what I saw of him on the right wing for Spain though. His future could be there or centrally.

Can you play a free role these days? You'd get outnumbered in midfield and that would be that. He can roam where he likes but if we haven't got controlled possession it's worthless.

Agreed. Having said that, I think that Gil has looked promising also in terms of work rate/defensive discipline, which is somewhat unusual for such a creative player. Would also love to see more of him in the ACM role.

Integrate into the system. Hopefully we will see more and more of him (at the expense of Moura and certainly Dele?)

Did anyone see his 20 minutes or so for Spain tonight? I have read he was very impressive.

He was very impressive.Very involved and could have scored a couple.Spain are building a really great fearless young team.Any chance we can entice Luis Enrique to do the same at our beloved Spurs.

Would love to see GLC playing 10 and Gil playing on the right, think we’d start to see some quality football.

Bit disappointed again. Heard he was a real baller but I don’t see that many tricks up his sleeve!

Thought he was awful today, worst game for us. But have generally liked what I've seen from him before today. He got a hell of a lot wrong but we would have been better off if everyone matched his energy and effort.

He looks as raw as Scarlett, thought he tried in the first half to get the passing but no one really wanted to help. But was pretty poor second half.

I'm still yet to be convinced. There have been moments here and there in some of the games he's played so far that he has looked O.K. but he is so easily knocked over that it's difficult for him to get a move going.
I thought he was very poor tonight when it was his chance to shine against a very average side in Vittesse but then they were all very poor. When I look at the 2nd elevens the top four can put out I realise how weak in depth we are. Time is on Gil's side I just hope he delivers but as I said I'm yet to be convinced.

He was terrible today. 100% for effort. But looked slow and weak and gave the ball away a lot.

Looks like I'm in the minority as I thought he was not too bad. Always available and tracks back well - a low bar I know but compared to the rest of the team this evening . . .

Unlike quite a few of ours he has a special something - I think he's gonna be quality for us and we have to keep playing him.
