Yeah. That cross was great.
I really like him as a back-up/rotational player. Versatile. Professional. And in periods a very decent player.
Obviously he could be a regular starter for many PL clubs, but he shouldn't be for us - and now he isn't. If he is happy playing the role he will now get then fantastic. And I believe he will. He will still play a lot of games and he is only an injury away or some bad form from Reguilon to start big games for us.
I can't tell if the improvement is because of the new arrival getting Davies to up his performances or simply that the new arrival has meant a shift in tactics in which Davies is greatly benefitting.
I think we’ll see on Sunday who the #1 isI think there’sa chance that a lot of people will be disappointed when they realise Reguilón isn’t coming in as automatic outright indisputable number 1 and that Davies is going to still play quite a lot for us.
Don’t think that’s how squads work mate. I fully hope Reguilón establishes himself as first choice, and does so starting with this Sunday too, as I far prefer watching someone like him than someone like Davies, but there’s no way Davies, as a player Mourinho clearly trusts and values, is suddenly going from almost every present to being a bit part player. He’ll play plenty too, and we may even see both together on occasion.I think we’ll see on Sunday who the #1 is
Or most likely the opponent yesterdayI suspect Davies' improvement in attacking play has more to do with the defensive stability of our midfield and the instructions to get forward more than the arrival of Reguilon.
