Pretty simple honestly. An objectively better player than Zaniolo. Actually a more important and better fit for the squad. But this stops us from getting Conte’s preferred choice or this is something Conte is against, then it is a terrible move. If Conte is happy with this then the player is a really good one.

Wow. This guy is like the JJ of Everton so I guess it's true.

Everyone is assuming this means Zaniolo is off the table. I wouldn't be so certain. Zaniolo is a rotation option for Kulu, where as Danjuma would be rotation for Son. Richarlison, rotation for Kane. That's a pretty strong front line whatever way you cut it.
I cant see us brining in two forwards when we need like 2 CD, a GK and a RWB

It’s a loan and no one knows what else we will or won’t do on top of this. It’s not like we are blowing our load on this guy, there’s no fee, he’s a CL proven quality player at his best, we’re just covering his wages for 6 months. We need this window to end sharpish because the drama in this section of the site is getting mental
None of that is the point but ok

Makes a lot of sense if the rumours of Sporting wanting Gil on loan to close out the Porro deal are true.

If that’s the case then it sounds like a win/win; seal Porro while giving Gil an extended run for experience while we cover with a CL proven squad option.
That's not the narrative we are after in here young man

OK so told the Danjuma stuff is true, agent led and we've bitten.

LEVY OUT!!!
Fuck sake. We really are in a state as a club and it’s caused by 1 man. If he isn’t a target for Conte/Paratici this is a waste and we get what we deserve.

Hopefully bringing him in is backing Conte though by allowing us to let Gil go on loan to facilitate another transfer. Does make you wonder though.

Where in the front line is he most comfortable?

God so tiring that this also turns into a Levy out thread with more posts being about Daniel Levy rather than Danjuma.

Just looking at the first page of threads we have the following:

- Tottenham Takeover Talk
- Enic - The Poll
- Tottenham Chief Daniel Levy slaps prince on Qatar takeover
- The ousting of Daniel Levy

Maybe you can air your feelings about Levy there and we can discuss the pros and cons of the actual player in this thread?
Fair call.

As a player he’s quite good 1v1, more of a goal threat than Zaniolo, pace to burn, 25yrs old so decent age but naturally the way we look at his signing will depend on other signings and how he fits into that, is there a plan to buy him and he succeed son or is it jus a cheap and cheerful last min option, if the latter then it naturally effects the perception of the deal.

What do you mare of him as a player?

Mad how everyone is in full rage mode when we have zero information that we are still not trying for Zaniolo.
It might not be the case....

But I think people are a little mad that it is a scattergun approach that only came about because he was offered by an agent on a decent deal. Not that the manager targeted him. Not that we think he is the best player we can attract. Not because he was part of a recruitment plan. He was just a cheap deal that fell in to Levys inbox.

If this turns out to not be the case when our esteemed ITKs provide, if they feel fit, more background information then perhaps we do see it for a better transfer for our Managers plans than we are immediately thinking.

The biggest con for me is that he hasn't played off of the right in his last 50 club games, or any real record that I can find - https://www.footballcritic.com/arnaut-danjuma/player-positions/93897

Richarlison can hardly get a kick at ST/LW and Danjuma is another one that plays mostly ST/LW. Yes, Son needs competition but he's yet to be dropped thusfar.

So right now it seems to me that our front six rest of season is - Son/Danjuma - Kane/Richarlison - Kulu/Gil/Richarlison OR Danjuma

Maybe Gil has options, and Zaniolo is still possible. Son is kind of a nothing player right now, Richarlison is still regaining fitness, Lucas is toast, Kane could get injured at any moment given his usage and we are well and truly fucked if that’s the case. Danjuma gives us depth we really need. Even if it’s agent driven, couldn’t Conte still be cool with it or is that like impossible?

Who plays RW when Kulu is injured then? And who provides that creativity? Can Danjuma play AM or CM? It only makes sense if Lucas and Gil are leaving. You might think Danjuma is a better player but is he even remotely similar to Zaniolo? No. It's like saying Skriniar is an upgrade on Porro.

decent player, but behind stevie for the national team who wasn't deemed good enough for us
When Stevie has 20 goal involvements in 34 games in a top league and the CL I’ll maybe believe he’s on Danjuma’s level. Bergwijn has really never done anything at the top level to suggest he’s worth a second thought and I liked the guy but he’s just not a top player
