Hopefully it’s not true… if it is it probably means that the board decided against backing Conte (I assume that Zaniolo is a No go if we are after Danjuma now) and are back to the old transfer modus operandi.

I would hope it's in addition to Zaniolo, but that's hopeful. Not sure what the severity of Gil's knock is, or if there are any loan options for Gil to get consistent run until the end of the season.

Zaniolo would replace Gil, and Danjuma gives another option off of the left/ST. We'd be fully stacked up front, but Conte has said before that's what he wants.

Son/Danjuma - Kane/Richarlison - Kulu/Zaniolo

Although my fear would be it'd be one of Danjuma or Zaniolo.

Getting to that point in the window where a player i initially wasn't to bothered about (Zaniolo), but intrigued nonetheless to see what Conte could do with him, maybe now not coming, making me feel somewhat gutted.
