We’d be better off finding him a loan here or in Europe than leaving him in the Argentine league. Needs to be settling into the culture etc.

Love a signing like this. Top talent, out of the blue.

So many years we stopped investing in this way, but despite how it went with him in general you have to credit the changes Paratici made backstage with getting us doing it again. Exciting stuff.
*Jose & Conte* stopped us investing this way.

But yes glad we are back to investing this way, it’s sensible, it’s fun and exciting and it futureproofs us.

Plus Scarlett who we may need for HG squad purposes.

Loaning out Veliz akin to what Brighton routinely have done is the sensible option here if Kane does indeed stay.
You never “need” a player for HG purposes. It’s not a HG quota, just a limit on how many non-HG you can have. Veliz is u21 so he doesn’t count towards the non-HG limit for the EPL
We’re light on the right. Certainly Richarlison can play there but we do need back up.
Agree. Assuming we actually get two CBs over the line that’s probably the biggest roster deficiency.

Interview with one of the main journalists who has been reporting on the transfer. Gives a good, grounded review of the player.

Would suggest that we're buying him for the player that he potentially could be, rather than the player he currently is.

If that video is accurate it sounds like we might be looking to send him straight out on loan to a European team.

I'd fucking love it if he does a madness and goes and scores 15 goals in the Spanish Prem or something. Would be great for his development to play in a Spanish speaking league but still at a very high level.

Isn’t he an out and out striker? If it’s not linked to Kane sale I don’t really get why we’d want him here right now. If Kane was to stay he’d barely play any minutes of football what with Richarlison too. Integrating him into the club is fine but not playing won’t help his development. Unless he can actually play from the right hand side I’m struggling a little to imagine how it’s not linked to Kane leaving.

He is either going straight out on loan, or Kane is going straight over to Munich.

Unless we want to loan him elsewhere besides back to Rosario
