Didn’t we fire some South American scout last year because he went on Colombian tv talking about which players we liked and were scouting? So we’ve at least been thinking about SA for a while, probably since Fabio came in. The new work permit rules ought to make things much easier.
Yes, Jeff Vetere

Just been told we are indeed in talks. I know nothing about him and it's come out of nowhere (from my perspective at least).

*Opinion.......Looks more like long term planning for next season rather than short term to cover Kane leaving in this window.

Quality player. Been following this guy since he was a foetus. Went to a private school in the next road to where he lived. Enjoys paddle tennis. 6’4, right footed, strong on the ball, eats a lot of chopped parsley and his girlfriend adores tromboning.

Already better than Tony Cottee ever was. Think Dirk Kuyt and then unthink it. Then think of weeing sideways straight after ejaculation and you’re somewhere near the style he likes to play.

Honestly, the treble is now on.
Just had to say this is one of the funniest things I have ever read thank you!!!!

Saw him live lining up about a month ago at our gaff(San Lorenzo). Looks a decent player and had bags of determination. From my Argie friends he's definitely one to keep an eye on. Seen him score a few peaches on the tele too so I'm in!

Alejo Véliz to Tottenham Hotspur is very advanced. * ⃣ Negotiations with Rosario Central entered the final stage: the English club wants to sign him but does NOT want to leave him at the club until December.

The guy that was first to break our interest last night is now suggesting we want him straight away

Hmmmmm 🤔

Maybe we want him in now so he can learn from Kane but yeah it doesn’t really make sense to have 3 strikers in a 1 striker system. Can’t see him getting much game time at all.

Love a signing like this. Top talent, out of the blue.

So many years we stopped investing in this way, but despite how it went with him in general you have to credit the changes Paratici made backstage with getting us doing it again. Exciting stuff.

odd to me that we’d insist on him coming now. He’s not going to play at all barring an absolute crisis.

but I guess gives him a low pressure adaptation season and u21 so doesn’t count against squad limits and I guess gives us a “break in case of emergency” striker.

Sounds like he’s got a release clause, so worst case we just pay that and then they have no say at all.

Does this lad even qualify for a work permit - based on his U20 appearances for Argentina? Or will the Rosario Central appearances count?

Maybe we’re paying slightly over his release clause because I believe when clauses our met you have to pay it in one go
