Petrov is all about pace.
Take away his grass to run into and he becomes a very average player, give him grass and on his day he can tear you apart.
Me thinks that a few Prem managers and RB's have now seen enough of Petrov and worked him out pretty well. He will still have the odd good day but overall we can do much much better than him and personally I wouldn't be swapping him for Steed and never in a million yeras for Bale!
As for the money he's on at City I would be surprised after Benjani's comments if it's not considerable. Benjani said he had no contract negotiations and that he just walked into a room thinking that they were going to discuss terms when they shoved a piece of paper in his hand with his new salary on and he nearly fell over and signedthe contract as quickly as he could before they changed their minds.
