Every season i fall in the same trap, hanging on everyone's word, people that i have never met, only football does that to me, in my business world i wouldn't entertain any of this nonsense..

And i'm still on it.

Such a shame image rights has affected this deal. Still time to get it done. Loan with obligation to buy makes sense for all parties so long as we agree the price for the image rights now. I suppose Dybala fee to Juve would be higher if they owned them anway.

I'm ecstatic to get Ndombele, Lo Celso and Sessegnon into the club but with Eriksen leaving I don't think we've come out as far ahead I think we should have been aiming this window. We're not necessarily standing still because we absolutely needed refreshing, but it's hard not to feel like we're just replacing what we're losing tbh. I always thought we needed another, whether that was Dybala or Fernandes to really make a success of this window and put the squad in a strong position, and obviously we havent achieved that.

Don't know how to feel about it all really. Definitely mixed atm, but I recognise that could be the disappointment about Dybala is still at the front of my mind.

Oh man we've been here so many times. Augero, Moutinho. We all knew how this story ends, I guess we all thought it was different this time as we're acting like a big club and no longer small fry. Sigh.

I love that some of you still are optimistic about the deal.

I'm so depressed that my imaginary girlfriend can't comfort me.
Tell her to get a grip man:cautious:
SSN saying Juve called it off because they didn't get Lukaku
To be honest I can't see why any of us should be depressed, two days ago we had a spell where everthing had apparently fallen through and today we look like ending the window with Ndombele, Clark, Sessignon, Lo Celso and the two youngsters, ok it's disappointing that the Dybala deal looks dead but it really would have been a bonus and maybe we can go back in at a later date.

Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus are exploring the possibility of a loan deal with an obligation to buy for Paulo Dybala, as a permanent deal before the 5pm deadline is now seen as impossible.

The issue of the player's image rights have proven a huge complication, and would still make any temporary deal very difficult, but all sides are working hard to try and make it happen.

All terms have otherwise been agreed, with Juventus keen to sell due to their wage-turnover ratio and the fact there is now no clear place for Dybala in Maurizio Sarri's team.

The player is also willing to join Spurs, and especially Argentine compatriot Mauricio Pochettino, seeing them as a far more attractive prospect than Inter Milan.

Juventus will likely try to move Dybala to the San Siro if the English deadline passes with no deal.

The 25-year-old is however furious at the situation he's been put in by the Italian champions.

Spurs hope to tie up deals for Ryan Sessegnon and Giovani Lo Celsobefore the deadline.

Both players are understood to have undergone medicals on Thursday morning after agreements were reached with both Fulham and Real Betis respectively in the last 24 hours.

Ndombele is a Dembele replacement. Our midfield always looked weaker and short once he left, even with the Sissoko rising to GOAT levels. Lo Celso is no where even close to replacing Eriksen. People down play the shit outta Eriksen's influence. We need 2 players to replace it. Sessegnon exciting, but not fully ready yet.

With just this business, this window will only be a massive side step, imo.
And I can argue, that'll we'll actually be weaker too (with Eriksen saga, Trips, and Llorente leaving too).

Well that well and truly shit on our chips!! :banghead:

Sorry for blatant off-topic. But while we're all here worrying about whether we'll add Dybala or just Sessegnon, Lo Celso and Ndombele to our CL runners-up, Top 4 four years in a row squad, Bury have just been told that they've got two weeks to save their club and will probably never see them play a match again. Whatever happens today let's keep some perspective and say a prayer to the footballing Gods for them too. No matter what we'll be back at the Lane on Saturday looking forwards with optimism and that's something to be grateful for.

No way any team at the San Siro could make this deal work.

Rafael says hi.

I beg of you Spurs Community, can we just stay positive for three hours? Then you can call me a dickhead. It's fine. But can we do a deal?
A deal?
I’ll be positive in installments of 1hr for the next 2 and then abject disappointment for the final 55minutes.
Deal?

Anyway... really pleased we appear to have nailed Lo Celso and Sess, so yea we really should be positive, but Dybala... oh my this one is marquee... I really hope we somehow still pull this off, but I’m losing hope.

COYS!!!!

If this loan with obligation to buy thing is being suggested with Dybala too, I wonder if that changes the GLC deal. Presuming we’d have to purchase them next summer, that would put us around £120M spent at the start of next summer before even bringing anybody else in. Surely one of them would have to be officially bought on a permanent this summer?

Herc has stated that we pay over 4 years for all deals.
