Inter get Lukaku - need to get rid of Icardi
Juve want Icardi - want rid of Dybala
We want Dybala - it's going down to the wire

The ultimate poker stand-off.

70/30 chance we'll get Dybala before 5pm IMO.

I never really got the need for Dybala anyway. £75m for another forward, when we already have Kane, Son and Lucas? Unnecessary when we need strong CM and full back upgrades, and a replacement/supplement for Eriksen. Which it seems we've accomplished.

In:
N’dombele - replacing Dembele (18 months late)
Lo Celso - replacing Eriksen (if he doesn’t sign new contract)
Sessegnon - future replacement of Rose (contract expires next summer)

Out:
Trippier - no replacement

Still in limbo with contracts expiring within 12 months:
Toby
Eriksen
Rose
Vertonghen (only One giving signals he might stay and extend contract).

I have a hard time seeing this as a positive window where we come out clearly strengthened.

Dybala/Coutinho in: we would all have been running around screaming in joy. It would’ve shown intent, that we truly are ready to take that next step up to be a truly “Big Club”. It would’ve given the manager, coaches, staff, players and not at least the fans a renewed belief we can push for greater things. Now: I don’t know... it’s just going to be more of the same? Our golden generation of players over the last 4-5 years are getting older and there are no signs that we are going to push for that extra yard. Except for the CL final (and it’s a big exemption!), all stats and indicators are pointing down.

Please! Someone! Help me find the positives!!

I can’t believe I fall for the same trick. Every. Single. Friggin’. Window.
We upgraded on a crocked and past-it Dembele with the best young midfielder on the market this summer. We've replaced Eriksen with Poch's first choice. We've added two of the brightest young English talents. Poch is satisfied with his options at RB or we'd have been pushing harder for a new signing this window.

We're gradually building up. It takes time and can't always be done in one window. The money is there and so is Levy's willingness to back Poch. In the long term, as long as Levy follows through in future windows, we are in great shape.

There's not much point trying to reason with some people. Even if we sign Dybala they'll find something else to moan about. Some started it already while we were all wanking ourselves silly over Dybala by saying "but what about Atal?"

Lets get something straight, everything and everyone has their price.

We are not prepared to pay it, so why bother in the 1st place?

Ndombele is a Dembele replacement. Our midfield always looked weaker and short once he left, even with the Sissoko rising to GOAT levels. Lo Celso is no where even close to replacing Eriksen. People down play the shit outta Eriksen's influence. We need 2 players to replace it. Sessegnon exciting, but not fully ready yet.

With just this business, this window will only be a massive side step, imo.
And I can argue, that'll we'll actually be weaker too (with Eriksen saga, Trips, and Llorente leaving too).

There's guesswork there - we don't know how the new signings will adapt. But I feel you're missing a big piece of the puzzle, with NDombele, Le Celso, Sess and Clarke we've retooled for the next chapter. Given their age these guys should only get better.

Dybala would also fit into that mould of course.

Sureee, slim chance?

3 hrs is too short. Loan not even possible.
It's just him saying that so people still are hooked and follow him throughout the day.
Clicks and shit. Typical journalist BS.
You really are misery personified.

I reckon the bad news from the meeting Agresti mentioned is filtering through to the likes of Gards now.

I do feel like Delaney has an in with Dybala's people though.
