There's a tendency on here to rate players that play for other teams above our own, also some just clamour for shiny new toys.
Or theres tendencies to see when one player is better than the other when both are on form. Also Chris wouldn't be here for long if he stayed anyway, times are changing man.

whoever said 2 full backs over Dybala a few pages back is spot on. Is Dybala better than Son, Eriksen, Moura, Alli? If he was to arrive and be even better than he has been for Juve then he'd be an upgrade on those players but he might not even excel here. Lamela was just as good in Serie A. More back up/an alternative for Kane would be good but it is not as crucial as finding our own Robertson and Alexander-Arnold.

But we seem to be buying Sessegnon who is a similar age and has the same attacking mindset as TAA, but people aren't happy with that because he's not experienced enough.

Dybala and Eriksen are different though so he wouldn't be a replacement anyway. He would be largely in competition with Moura and Son in the support striker role. We would be swapping Eriksen for Lo Celso and instead of getting another creative addition we'd get another goal threat in the final third. Our new formation seems to be a 4-3-1-2 variation where the 3 midfielders open into a diamond when attacking (like 2 pivots either side of the central midfielder). We would likely rotate between Kane, Son, Moura and Dybala as the front 2 but at times play 1 of them in behind.

The only reason this would be dependant on selling Eriksen and Rose is to raise the funds. That's completely understandable if we are still pushing Sess and Lo Celso.

Sure Eriksen has put in some great performances for us throughout the years, but has he ever scored a goal to knock Tottenham out of the Champions League? No! Dybala has though...

Shocked so many feel this way.

I know he's shiny and flashy like a Twilight vampire but he could just end up being a massive 80 million pound paper weight in England .
Eriksen is proven Gold. If he is ours again this season near guranteed top 3 assists in the league
Agreed, I think Eriksen is the best of the 3, then Dybala, then Lo Celso.

Yes, and also squad places as Poch likes 25.

Eriksen and Lo Celso likely fit what we need right now more than any other combo of the 3 players (if you are saying we can only have 2). However, Eriksen and Dybala are the most talented and Dybala and Lo Celso fit our squad age better.

I think you have to try and see if you can get all 3. That likely means the market temperature is taken on Lucas.

Straight swap
To me comparing Dybala and Eriksen doesn't really make sense - they are such different players. Everytime I think about our potential signings I am really scratching my head to work out how we will play !!

Think we’re moving away from the traditional number 10 in our set up. Plenty of creativity from a midfield 2/3

I disagree. I think the optimal combination of 2/3 is Dybala and Lo Celso. With Lo Celso and Eriksen we have too many midfielders to play that role. We can't start Lo Celso, TN, Winks/Sissoko, Son, Dele, Eriksen, and HK. Since Dybala plays #10, winger, and striker, there more room for him to play, since we only really have 3 wingers and 2 strikers (Parrot included). Not to mention he's younger and we'd get him for years vs. Eriksen is not guaranteed past this year. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I think GLC is the most important signing for us. If that happens, I'd gladly lose Eriksen to get Dybala.

In order of best possible combinations of the 3:

1. All 3 In (CE, GLC, PD)
2. Dybala GLC in, Eriksen out
3. GLC in, Eriksen stays, no Dybala
4. GLC in, Eriksen out, no PD
5. PD in, Eriksen stays, no GLC
6. Eriksen out, no GLC or PD

I'd love to think we could compliment all three (Lo Celso, Eriksen and Dybala) but then that would likely mean two of Son, Lucas or Alli not getting enough game time.

The critical situation here will be what is happening with Eriksen. If he's not interested in signing a contract we need to get Lo Celso and Dybala in.

If he is preparing to commit then either Dybala or Lo Celso will come off the table.

On face value it's a tough one to call and if something real is happening I can see Poch been very torn.

On one hand Dybala is an elite player, I honestly think we'd win something with him next season. I mentioned before how Cantona and Aguero were the catalysts for their clubs to win major honours, I think Dybala would be that player. He just needs a club where he can shine.

That being said Eriksen is top stuff and has proven so with many crucial contributions. He's our creative heartbeat. However, he has been here for 6 years and hasn't been able to help the club win something. Whether or not that's down to him not turning up in finals and semi finals I don't know or maybe it's just because we've needed more from around him. Who knows.

I've grown attached to the idea of Lo Celso as I'd accepted Eriksen was gone. I've come to the opinion that he'd be a superb signing and saw him live - which made me want him even more. It seems like its far down the line which would feel pretty bad if we halted it.

The major positive is we are now considering 3 insanely good players so we are likely to come out of it with a strong hand.

Over to Poch and levy then....

Best ideal 11 on offer right now would be...

-----------------Hugo---------------
-----------Toby-----Jan-----------
Aurier-------Winks--------Sess
-----Lo celso-----Ndombele--
----------------Dybala----------------
-------------Kane-----Son----------

Its a toss up between alli ,sissoko, winks,
Ect imo but that team has a ridiculous amount of talent and a skillset to rival any.
