Don’t buy that tweet regarding excessive wages.

Love how we’re all in here every few seconds, expecting the worse and hoping for the best. This is what the transfer window’s all about.

Just imagine we manage to pull this off, it will make the long summer worth it

So as far as medical stuff go, I take it they don’t need to be completed at our training ground. Can they be done at the selling clubs facilities, what’s typical for a medical pencilled in this late?
Wasn’t VDV signed pending a medical? I’m sure he was away on International duty when we signed him and most things were done over the phone and had his medical when he came to the UK?

You can make signings pending a medical, if they then go and fail the medical then you have to go through auditing processes to prove that they actually failed because you can be pursued legally by the selling club if you cancel the deal because of 'failed medical'. So you have to be confident of their fitness or be very short of time to do it. So ideally you get the medical done first. It still happens quite often yet and I've never heard of an actual fallout because of this, teams seem to do their due diligence.

If this is the case then I really don't understand why we'd have bothered to approach Juve at this stage. We must have spoken to Dybala's people beforehand and have had an idea of roughly what he earns and would be looking for.

It could be that the club approached us first as they're looking to move him on. From what I heard he doesn't want to leave Juve so is maybe playing hard ball in the hope that deals go south. It's all speculation, but I do get what you're saying. Surely, we would have some idea as to what he wants.

I believe he did a pre-season medical with Juve this week. We've probably been given access to that for starters.

I guess the terrible Emiliano Sala situation is a close relative of this.

'kin hell.

Hard enough to get my swede around the last 36 hours, 9 pints into a session, I'm undecided as to whether shout for joy, or ask for another sambuca chaser.

COYS...This is the time.

I've feckin took on loads of bets this past few weeks based on us kicking on...don't let us all down.

Seems rather pointless to do it first if a fee isn't agreed, which is what we were talking about earlier not that they cdnt be done first but to do it first then agree a fee
But if we are say 5-10m apart and Sporting have already accepted the player is gone, it probably pays off for both clubs, especially with a deadline looming, to have everything in place so that should a fee be agreed then it can go through before the deadline.

Imagine we miss out on Dybala and GLC and it's 3pm deadline day, well we need to react super quick. If the player is here and we are still communicating with the club we could probably wrap it up quickly. We may have to pay Sporting more but it would be that or nothing.

Not saying this is exactly what's happening, we may actually have every attention of signing him regardless but I just get the feeling he's the easiest deal deal to do, therefore we've put the pieces in place should we need.

This is reddits source list for Juventus FYI to help people with which journos are reliable
Pedulla is a fraud.
Pedulla comes out as “moderately reliable” according to this posted last night. ☹️

Again, this is Levy's concept of 4D Chess to get Betis to curb on Lo Celso. Hes a clever prick that Levy. I just hope this hand grenade doesn't blow up in his face.

If at this stage were still trying to agree fees then tbh i cant see us signing anyone, were not the most nimble movers in the market place

I genuinely dont get players not wanting to leave if theyre being chucked out. I get Bales situation as he is getting 600k a week and no one can get near it BUT Dybala will get MORE than what he is on.

Bale will outstay Zidane but doubt Dybala will outstay Sarri

Juventus are still a bigger club than us. Plus moving to a new league and country is a big change.
