The only way this deal gets done is for some smooth, handsome bastard to create an account called The Legend of Paulo
I'ts going to be utterly soul crushing when/if it doesn't happen.I know there’s probably a 80% chance that we will hear the move has broken down at some point with the whole we ran out of time / too complicated, but whilst there’s a slither or a chance, I’m going to dream.
The hurdle United fell down on was that he didn't want to go there. Everything else is spin.Oh no. The dreaded image rights. Isn't that the hurdle Utd fell down on?
Surely if we wanted him and Juve wanted him out they'd adjust the transfer fee to accommodate the image rights fee.
Yep. Imagine United stating 'The player rejected us" - that would go down well with stakeholders and fans.Let's be realistic here: United didn't pull out of Dybala because of financial issues. They have money to burn and some of their players are on more than the £300k reported. United wouldn't be dissuaded by a one-off payment for his image rights either.
The more likely scenario is that Dybala didn't want to go there.
I think he meant give him to us for a lower fee so we have money left to pay off the third partyImage rights are owned by a third party, not Juve. We have to negotiate with them as well.

This deal is tantalisingly poised to go either way. When the news of this deal 1st broke those weeks ago, I didn't want to put any hope in it to spare myself from any heartbreak. But it seems that we have really gone quite deep in discussions that should it break down, I will be really disappointed. Fingers and toes crossed.
I really believe Levy is going to give this one everything he can to get it over the line - he knows how this deal would make both him and the club look and it's within touching distance, if we can just sort out the image rights etc.
I honestly won't blame Levy if this falls through, I can imagine it's a ridiculously hard deal to do. Unlike deals such as Lo Celso and Fernandes where Levy just won't pay the money and will have to take the blame if they don't happen.
Massive Levy fan here - but not sure I agree with you.I really believe Levy is going to give this one everything he can to get it over the line - he knows how this deal would make both him and the club look and it's within touching distance, if we can just sort out the image rights etc.

Scoring goals in the premier league is ridiculously hard, but you'd be pretty disappointed if your striker doesn't manage it.
Signing contracts, negotiating transfers and investing in the club is his job (and he's good at it). So, whilst I don't want to underplay the complexities of these massive deals nor make light of the greater difficulties that arise with foreign player ownership, image rights and the massive sums of money now involved; it's his job and as Chairman he must view the inability to get deals like this over the line as a failure. Spurs are a massive company and in the corporate world, people lose their jobs when deals go south. I would hope he can work his magic and get it done.
If he can't do it, he should hand over to a DoF type who Pochettino would be happy working with to get this done.
Minimum on the Love Levy scale is one AM and Sessegnon
2 AMs and Sess = Passion
3 AMs and Sess = Exctasy
