I wonder if we will ever pull of a signing like this?

Don't get me wrong I'm more than happy with Ndombele, (hopefully Lo Celso) and I generally prefer potential signings but it'd be nice to think we get a bona-fide star one day that can really push us on as title challengers.

Maybe, just maybe, the kid ain't all that. There's a reason Juve want rid. I doubt it's all debt reduction (maybe partly)
Saying that Lukaku is an absolute donkey who seems to have a weak mentality. Good deal for United.

Not good news. Not so much us not signing him ourselves, but it will make Utd stronger.

Too many fans arrogantly dismissing both Arsenal and Utd as virtual mid table teams because we’ve been better than them for a couple of years.

I believe yanited getting the better deal. But I prefer CE to this kid.
Said this since the news broke. If we get Ndombele, GLC and Sess, and Eriksen stays on a new contract then we’ve had a fucking good window and go into the season with the best midfield I’ve ever seen at Tottenham

Good call, but there's 3 massive if's in there.

Honestly I would settle for just a new contract for Eriksen at this point. Sadly I see no good reason he will sign one when he's made it clear he want new challenges. Why would he pull a "Zaha" signing a new deal when he can go for free next season on top wages/sign on fee to pursue his goals ?‍♂️?

Apparently Champions League football is not as important to star players as we thought it was. Ceballos/Pepe/(Tierney?) to Arsenal, AWB/Dybala/(Maguire?)/(Fernandes?) to United. It's all about the money.

If Eriksen is gone (which looks like the most likely outcome) a swap deal for Dybala would've been our best move IMO.

Let's hope he signs the new deal then!

I'm inclined to agree. Eriksen is a known quantity and has been a top performer for us for years now.

That’s the problem though. Far too up in the air for my liking and the fact the window stays open for other European clubs after our one shuts worries me.

Pepe and Dybala going to the teams below us is not cool at all, I totally agree.

I still think we'll be better than them if we keep Eriksen and Rose and bring in GLC however. We'll be better next year and Ndombele is gonna be a beast. We have a rested squad full of quality, we're back home, and we have a top manager.

Still need Levy to deliver though.

It's always been the case, depends who is whispering in their ear and how much of the cut they get as well.

Dybala basically needs to put his foot down and demand to play for Poch or we can file this one away with Rivaldo, Villa, Benzema, Puyol and co

And this is why we will never be a top tier team. Because our buisness model will never let us buy a player like Dybala or augero etc...
