It's gonna be seriously funny on here after the confederation cup final. Obviously he's not gonna walk off the pitch to sign and announce it. The wait from the last kick off Brazils campaign and the stoof stamp will be highly emotional.

The Corinthians admitted that he received a proposal from Tottenham, England, Paulinho leather steering wheel. The British will pay the value on termination of contract-€ 20 million, approximately $ 59 million – to bring the player to London shortly after the Confederations Cup. The athlete must go through CT Joaquim writes only to lay off of the now former. The Deputy Director Ayodele Monteiro Alves said there will still be a conversation between Kio and club leaders to officially negotiated.

Focused on the Brazilian national team, playing in the Confederations Cup semifinal on Wednesday against Uruguay, has already been notified by the Summit went that the proposal arrived from England. The Corinthians would take half the value proposed by Tottenham, which holds 50% of the economic rights-the other half is the Audax.

-The value of the contractual fine is 20 million euros. The Corinthians doesn't have much to do. We will talk to him when you arrive. The Paulinho already know of the proposal, we advise, but the player asked to wait the return of selection, since he is focused. When you arrive, we will take the final decision – Ayodele said.

The intention of the Corinthians is stick with the value quoted free of taxes that would involve the negotiation (approximately 17% of the amount fixed by the sale of the player). The output of Paulinho was given as certain direction since the elimination in the round of the Libertadores Cup final to Boca Juniors. The enlightened posture of the player appealed the Board went from the start of the polls.

-He (Paulinho) is a hell of a guy, a professional copy, that always put (to the press and to the Board of Directors) what was going on. Now we expect him to talk. His life is he himself who will set – completed the leader.

For more than three years in Corinthians, will not play even the Recopa Sudamericana, whose return game is scheduled for July 3, the day against Sao Paulo at the Morumbi Stadium. Were 167 matches with Timon's shirt, with 34 goals scored. Hired from Bragantino after the Paulistão 2010, it became absolute holder and one of the most essential parts to the game plan of coach Tite.

Paulinho the blueprint signing for powerful Spurs

If you believe the rumours (and as Spurs fans we really should have learned not to by now), the club is about to meet the buyout clause for the Corinthians midfielder Paulinho.

From the little I've seen of him he looks like a fine player -- the type that could both complement Sandro and step into his shoes when he suffers his annual long-term injury.

While Paulinho is capable of playing the defensive midfielder role, there is much more to his game. The Brazilian football expert Jack Lang has likened him to Bryan Robson, due to his all-action style, surging runs into the box and aerial ability.

The more I read about Paulinho, the more I notice that words like 'powerful' and 'strength' are always used to describe his play. A midfield trio of Paulinho, Sandro and Moussa Dembele is an exciting prospect -- three players all able to interchange with one another and who would surely outmuscle most opponents.

Power is fast becoming an important part of this Tottenham team. Look at the players Spurs have signed since last summer. Emmanuel Adebayor, Dembele, Clint Dempsey, Hugo Lloris, Gylfi Sigurdson and Jan Vertonghen all came in during the summer window, along with Steven Caulker and Kyle Naughton, who returned from loans. To a man they are all big, strong players.

Lewis Holtby came in January and even he is almost 5' 10" and has room to fill out a little. I'm not suggesting that Tottenham are following Tony Pulis in only recruiting giants (the importance of Aaron Lennon and the interest in the 5' 4" Bernard disproves that) but it seems that they are intent on building a squad that truly has strength in numbers.

I've just taken a look at the Porto team that Andre Villas-Boas managed to Europa League success in 2011. The starting XI that AVB picked included just one player that could be described as short -- a certain Joao Moutinho, who should now be a Spurs player himself, if the club hadn't bungled the deal.

The next smallest player was Radamal Falcao at 5' 10". Silvestre Varela and Hulk are 5' 11", while the rest of the team all stood over six-foot. That Porto team were able to steamroller sides, breaking quickly, to swiftly switch play from defence to attack.

We saw Tottenham replicate that at times last season. The personnel wasn't quite there to pull off a carbon copy however. When Scott Parker gets the ball these days, he's more likely to slowly turn around in a circle and pass the ball five yards square, than to swiftly switch play from defence to attack.

Whether Spurs get their hands on Paulinho or not, the fact that he seems to be the central midfielder that the club are after, demonstrates the direction that the squad is going in.

The bulk of the players at Tottenham next season will be big, fast and skillful. That hasn't always been the case. Spurs are a team that when I was growing up, had a reputation for being brittle and were dismissed as 'Southern softies' by the dominant teams from the North of England.

Now, less powerful players such as Lennon and Tom Carroll (and hopefully Bernard and David Villa, next season) will be firmly in the minority. Small is indeed beautiful, but in the bully-boy world of the Premier League, it never hurts for the little guys to look around when they're in trouble and see nine six-footers backing them up.

In other news, Spurs start Gareth Bale is looking forward to next season under Villas Boas metallic paint.

It's true. We're like a skillful version of Everton.

Someone on RAWK likened A midfield 3 of Sandro, Dembele and Paulinho to that of Makelele, Essien and Lampard.

Happy days.

Really? That's mentals...

Yeah they kept on having exclusives for a brief period, until the people they were 'quoting' noticed.

God knows how they thought they'd get away with it.

Anyway...really warming to the idea of Paulinho, though he sounds more like an upgrade on Dembele (if that makes sense) in terms of being a marauding midfielder, but with goals.

He may be expensive, but it'd be really nice knowing that when Dembele misses time we aren't completely fucked in midfield.

As unfashionable as this sounds, he's more of an upgrade on Parker.

But Parker was really an understudy to Sandro last season (yes I know their injuries meant neither was fit at the same time).

Snarf has explained the logic of getting Paulinho, but I'm not sure we'd play a midfield three of Dembele, Sandro, and Paulinho at the same time, which means someone misses out. Well...unless we play a 3-5-1-1 with wingbacks.
