Merry Christmas Alan Pardew

Apparently Charlton once fired Les Reed on Christmas Eve. Replaced him with............... Alan Pardew.

Apparently Big Sam is leading candidate. Surprised he'd be even in the running for any job at the moment. Thought the media witch hunt might have done him in for good with the PL.

Metalhead

But that's a debate for another thread.....

He does the business for the teams that he manages in terms of escaping relegation and provides stability.

Oh yeah for sure. IMO, Palace probably would have stayed up anyway as Sunderland, Hull, Swansea are just too shit but this assures them staying up. Boro might get dragged down though if Swansea can bring in someone decent and somewhat solidify that defense. Sunderland and Hull don't have a prayer.

*in before Sunderland great escape part 4.

Should have sacked him after the Hull game...Parish really expect him to beat United and Chelsea?? New manager would have given them a NMB and given him more time to also assess squad before January.

Anyway, they're gonna get Alardyce in aren't they and now Spam have got a false sense of security after a couple of jammy wins they are gonna keep bilic and sink rock bottom and not have Sam as a hail mary to keep them up.

Please let this happen. :D Palace to finish 17 and spam 18. :D

With Allardyce and Benteke Palace will soon be playing the worst football in the league. Although they'll probably do it well.

Im just glad that Steve Parish has been this patient with him, if he'd sacked him a few weeks back we could've ended up with Pardew as England manager :(

So much of the joy of footy involves the misery of others. Not sure what that says about us, but I'll drink to your prediction.

I'd give sam more credit than that tbf. His teams can produce some decent stuff when they get going properly.

Yeah fair enough.

But in the relegation threatened scenario he normally comes into it tends to start with a lot of hoof-ball.

Is Kevin Nolan still playing?

Big Sam will guarantee them safety. Swansea missed a trick not going for him when they hired Bradley. I know it wasn't long after his England sacking, but he would have done a job.
