OK, so people need to develop some peripheral vision.

It's a disaster! Spurs drew away to a pretty good mid-table side! The title is gone! Top 4 is but a dream!

Out of the notional "top six" this weekend, not one of them won.

The Manchester derby was a draw.
Chelsea lost.
Arsenal lost.
Liverpool drew.
We drew.

You don't win all your games. Palace are a much more balanced team than last season and an away point at Palace is now a reasonable result in context.

No goals in Manchester. Arsenal lost at home to Burnley, FFS. Liverpool relied upon a penalty to draw at a side well below Palace in the table. Chelsea lost at Everton.

So who did best? Us.

Peripheral vision - nice attention grabbing buzz words.
Which team gave away a lead whilst showing that they only came near their performance ceiling for 20 minutes total, and otherwise failed to try, when having a blueprint of this exact match scenario earlier in the season to learn from. This was a stupid lead to give away, not a complimentary performance.

Well, not by seizing attempts at 1-0 and sitting still while your players grow restless soaking pressure.
You've missed the point entirely. We had 4 chances that would have gone in on another day. We can't stop a keeper from having a blinder, and that's what happened tonight. End of story. We could have had 2 in the final 10 minutes alone. What more do you want? These aren't robots that can maintain a high tempo 3 games in a week. It's simply not doable.

Secondly, we've never really comfortably won away at Palace...
But we won, that's the point
Are we still top? Are we still unbeaten since the first game? Do you seriously EXPECT to win all our games? No wonder Spurs fans are so difficult to please. The sistine chapel ceiling has got nothing on the ceiling the fans set for this team. Ridiculous.
You do not seem not have grasped what I was trying to say, so lets just leave it at that.
I believe in killing teams off and many Premier League teams are dangerous. Palace are in that group with the likes of Zaha and Eze they can produce goals from nothing. I was at the home game against them in September 2019 and we won 4-0. We killed them off in the first 25 minutes with relentless attacking football and then were able to sit back in the second half. We have the players to play more expansively yet defend when we have to but it ain’t going to happen now except by accident.
Exactly!

No, you are missing the point. Don't energy save over long period at 1-0, and in addition when you've already played out an identical match scenario earlier in the season. They clearly had enough to give to swith-on the attack before the equaliser came.

Exactly!

Its not really mate. On another day we would of won that.

The point is that its always been fine margins away to Palace.

You get weekends where result go a little silly-this was one. Overall a good day especially with the Arsenal result. We stay top how good is that after the disappointment we were all feeling earlier.

They didn't "energy-save". They got outplayed by a motivated and well-coached Palace team.

It's always the same here. No one considers the opposition. Everything is about Spurs' performance, usually about individual players' performances.

There were two Premiership teams on the pitch, each coached by an experienced and canny manager. Their goalkeeper was MotM. They have a good team. They won a draw at least as much as we lost a win.

Yep we could have had 2 in the finals 10 minutes. We also played well for the first half hour.

Thats what’s so frustrating. The fact we were the better team at 0-0 and 1-1 shows that game was there for us today but we didn’t go for the kill. We sat off, invited pressure and got punished.

You can’t win every game and Palace away is always tough but we clearly shot ourselves in the foot today by how we approached the game at 1-0

Somtimes the football gods fuck you. Today we fucked ourselves.

Not a member of "the notional top six", which is what I wrote. That is widely agreed to consist of Liverpool, us, both Manchester clubs, Chelsea and Arsenal.

You could equally well reference Southampton.

I think you need to make your notional top 6 a floating one. The traditional top 6 doesn’t exist any more. It’s 2020 baby. Tradition is out of the window.

finally saw the highlights - prior to watching them i had my doubts about the world class saves that had been reported but i must say that their keeper made 3 absolutely brilliant stops. sounds like we should have pushed more but on another day
it's probably 1-4 in our favor and no one worries to much about the sitting back. As an aside - Dier will be gutted by the free kick save and the header he missed!
