Bit OTT, no?

Chelsea pushed our buttons, that was their only game plan. We lost our composure, and reacted. We are not a thuggish, cheaty side, but we are still a naive and learning side, despite this season's success.

I personally hate that side of the game, but Chelsea are the very personification of it and all their games fall into some kind of nastiness. We showed that we won't be bullied by these charlatans.

Did you know the rucks continued in the tunnel. Flabbyarse was screaming at Lamela about hid hand being trodden on until Dier went over to him and drew his finger across his throat and told him in Spanish to do one. Flabbyarse answered by saying when you earn £200000 a week then talk to me and ran awy.
This typifies the wonderful spirit these boys have for one another not seen sind Dave Mackay lifted Billy Bremmner off the ground by his shirt and threatened to kill him after Bremmner had been going around fouling our players untouched until he tried to do Mackay who had just come back from a broken leg.
The spirit although over the top is great to see I would rather have this then players like Freund running up to a player then having seconds and running away or Jenas who made a living hiding behind players when the going got tough.
If you dont like it then fuck off who needs you here anyway.
Go support the Goons they play nice sweet gentle football,, but you will be missing years of triumph as this team with its spirit, drive and talent will be at the top for a long time.

Ah, Fabregas, if only he was as consistently aggressive and brave on the pitch as he was in tunnels, he might still be at Barcelona instead of being banished to live out his days at Chelsea.

I was at a game when the ref was sending Bobby Smith off. However, he refused to go and told the ref if he did get sent off he would see him after the game in the dressing room.

He didn't get sent off!

Of course the game has changed and threatening the ref wouldn't cut it now.

Tough players have been lacking. It's knowing the limits and how far you can take it. There has to be forethought and intelligence with the reactions. Stay cool and count to 10 boys...

Am I still a Spurs fan ? this is what I'm working on now . I totally fucking Hate what we've become , its everything I loathe . After Monday we look UP to slime like Spam . The whole picture has changed and I'm deeply ashamed and sickened with what I've seen .

I also hate what we have become:

- Potentially finishing 2nd in the PL for the first time ever.

- Having the second best goals tally in the league.

- Having the best defence in the league

- Having the best goal difference in the league by a sizeable amount

- Being built on a solid English core which includes the top goalscorer in the league and the PFA young player of the year

- Having a togetherness between the top level of management at spurs all the way to the fans.

- Having the best training ground in the country

- Building towards the best stadium in England.

- Being in a position for the first time in living memory when none, not a single one of our star players want to leave.

But no, you're one of those fans that everybody has experienced at WHL who just wants to have a moan. I bet you called Jermain Defoe greedy for scoring 5 when we beat Wigan 9-1.

Honestly mate, fuck off with your self righteous, boo hoo, woe is me bollocks. What response did you genuinely expect after posting that illiterate garbage of pure shite?

In fact, it's so bad that i'm reporting your post to the mods.

I have no problem with us not being a bunch of pansies at laSt

I've expressed elsewhere that I'm disappointed we lost our heads and stopped focusing on our football which I feel allowed them back in to a match they should have been dead and buried in

But disgusted about our behaviour? Fuck that, I'm only disappointed we didn't actually hurt a chelsea player or two

What disgusts me is that football is such a pussy game these days that a few hard tackles and fouls is considered embarrassing in the first place - football used to be a man's game .

Ben Thatcher and John fashunu style elbows are disgusting, femur snapping stamp tackles are disgusting but a few fouls and hard tackles are nothing.

The first FA cup final is was ever old enough to watch saw Vinnie Jones smash Steve McMahon up in the air after about 10 seconds, Edgar Davids did similar to Ray Palour in his first NLD - both moments I treasure

Like I said football used to be a man's game - and to me, if the type of fouls and challenges on display against chelsea is enough for people to be embarrassed and eveb disgusted then football might as well become non contact sport like netball

I guess it's the change in the sport away from a woking class pass time to a strawberries and cream day at Wimbledon or Lords

Dear OP..

it's 40+years of supporting Spurs for me.. i've been there, as you have, in some really dark days, and some great times too..

i've had happier times watching Spurs (CL, the UEFA cup etc) but never have I been so proud of the team.. if I had a ticket for tomorrow I'd carrier a banner saying' welcome home Warriors, break their legs next time'

each to their own eh

If that game reflected our team throughout the season, if the bad behaviour was habitual, I could see where this was coming from.

But a 1 off match with extenuating circumstances?!

Really?! Come off it!

I'm not a naturally violent person but I have to say the sight of Eric's boot crunching down on fabregas' hand gave me a warm feeling inside.
