No 4th this season, only hope is winning the champions league. We all know signing a world class striker in january was very unlikely.

"I'm not unhappy with the strikers we've got. Who's going to loan us a top player - someone who is better than (Roman) Pavlyuchenko, (Peter) Crouch or (Robbie) Keane?

"Liverpool are not going to loan (Fernando) Torres to us are they, and Chelsea won't loan (Didier) Drogba."

this is very disappointing. what happened to our 'ambition'?

I still think Levy will surprise us. I don't know if I would be pleased with or not but we'll end up with someone we didn't think we would.

My only opinion on this is that Harry should stop talking publicly about possible targets, or current players transfer situations. He has gone on record as saying he would allow Robbie Keane to leave. Im pretty sure he said he would allow Pavluchenko to leave. Both players are obviously going to be unhappy playing under Harry knowing they arn't in his long term plans. If Harry is then unable to get in a decent replacement, he's just lowering morale in the team. Apart from Pienaar and Khumalo, the team will remain exactly the same, only a few players will be unhappy with all the transfer speculation. Why can't we keep transfer targets unknown until we're sure they will be signing....like with Modric or Van Der Vaart. I love Harry as a manager, but he just can't seem to keep his mouth shut.

If we don't sign a striker now we will have missed out on a massive opportunity to kick on as a club and challenge the big boys.

I can't help but think back to the bent and bentley signings. Ok we've not lost much on bent, but we will lose a fortune on bentley. Since those signings levy seems have become obbsessed with trying to save a million or two in a deal and we keep missing out on the opportunity to both buy and sell players.

I suppose the only positive is at this rate we will be able to pay cash for our new stadium

. Ok we've not lost much on bent

I know you meant financially but in football terms we lost at a lot when Bent went.

He's always banged in goals and is a natural lone striker. Oh how we can do with that these days.

Oh come on, he was apalling with us! Couldn't adapt to our style of play!
