Doing this deal and maybe the Ceballos deal do we need Lo Celso at a crazy price?
Maybe getting in Sessegnon and an RB would be more beneficial.
I think then the key player would be Dele. With Lamela and Eriksen gone, Dele would have to show that he is up there with the best in his play

He's a ball-carrier that can break the lines, so to speak.

That's why Poch desperately wants him; so yeah, I'd expect us to spend a fair bit on him (although not the reported release clause fee).

He's been absolutely awful each time I've seen him. I normally get excited by all links to exotic foreigners from Spurs, even Chiriches - but I think he'd flop big time from what I've seen.

The mooted swap deal above is just about the worst idea I've ever seen. There's a reason Inter weren't too fussed about losing him in the swap for Radja, his ability has been overstated because nobody expected anything from him imo.

Looks an intelligent player to me

You say you've watched Zaniols a few fimes
Did youcheck out Lo Censo in the Cop by any chance?

YouTube compilations can make anybody look class - I’ve not even bothered watching any Zaniolo ones because he’s been that bad whenever I’ve watched him.

Lo Celso was always considered a big talent, just never got the chance or played in the right position at PSG. Watched the Copa and he was fine - difficult to shine when Argentina are shite.

Ron, i'm gonna have to respectfully disagree with you.

Youtube could make Donald Trump look intelligent. You're being fed short snippets of the good stuff. I concur with @Spurrific that Zaniolo is nothing short of a youtube merchant.

Zaniolo swapped for Lamela, Lo Celso in a move to replace Eriksen and and Ceballos to offer depth to compete with either Winks (he gets injured frequently it has to be said) and Lo Celso who seems more aggressive than Eriksen so will probably pick up more injuries would shape us up well.

Zaniolo in as an Eriksen replacement I think would be a huge let down. I'd only be happy seeing him replace a peripheral figure like Lamela has become

Zaniolo for Lamela in itself would present a stupid move.

I've seen absolutely nothing of Zaniolo to suggest he's anywhere near Lamela's ability.

Lamela gets thrown pelters on here for being injured, yet Danny Rose misses god knows how long, slags the club off on numerous occasions but gets a free pass for no real reason.

Agree with that

Only the club's medical team and Poch can tell whether or not Lamella will be able to offer value to the team, over the next season or two

But if they think he's overcome the worst of it, injury-wise, then there's no really reason to move him on

I don't know how many times you've watched Zaniolo so I can't comment on that and while You Tube shows far from a true reflection of any player it's sometimes better than watching 2 or even 3 games of a player.
In the clips you can at least see what his talents are. When you watch limited games the players sometimes do nothing or very little. If you watched a lot of him I would have to take a walk back.

They are not fake clips. He made those decisions in the moment, beating players, a great dummy and a chip, some opportunist goals. He looks like he can get stuck in
I'd take this than watch 2 games.
Ever watch advertisements? Ever buy any of the products?

What has he really done for us. Great pressing, some good flicks but the amount of time he runs into trouble is ridiculous.
He isn't a bright player
Has talent but has no idea how to use it

I'd imagine SMC very rarely spends £25m, and then an additional £70k p/w on a packet of crisps.

With all due respect Ron, if you’re convinced by a player’s ability over a few carefully selected clips, you haven’t got a leg to stand on.

I could put together a compilation of Soldado’s goals for us, drop a sick beat on it and call it Bobby Soldado | The Spurminator | Goals and assists and people who relied on YouTube would think he’s the best striker in the world.

YouTube videos intentionally don’t show you the bad bits.

That's true but do you seriously believe that most people here watch full games of Serie A on a regular basis?
Do you?
