It will be Jose, I will be amazed if it isn't. And I must say I'm not a fan. Obviously I will support him and our team, that goes without question. But I really think he's past it, I believe his brand of football is not only incredibly dull but outdated. I really hope I'm proved wrong and he plays a more aggressive game with us. But for me, hiring jose, is not a good fit for us. It feels like a quick fix rather then the correct move for our club. As I said tho, I really, really hope I'm proved wrong if he does, as expected, get the job.

SPURS 'IN NEGOTIATIONS WITH JOSE'

Representatives of Tottenham and Jose Mourinho are this evening locked in negotiations for the Portuguese to replace Mauricio Pochettino.

We understand talks will continue into the night. Both sides believe a deal is close and will be concluded by the morning

Feels like we're selling our soul bringing Mourinho in.

I'll obviously support him all the way regardless and I hope everyone will.

Way late to the discussion of Poch's sacking, but just wanted to pop in to say that I've wanted this since Brighton but am nevertheless gutted for him. It's the correct decision to set things right, shock the players out of their complacency, and move forward with a fresh start. But it's terrible that it's come to this and that he wasn't able to weather the storm brought on by our awful recruitment and see it through to his "second chapter" before things went irreparably stale. I'll always appreciate what he accomplished for the club.

Looks like its gonna be Jose, Sky saying its close.

Really hope he ain't a washed up force now. People loving his past medals, but his recent record, and style of play, has been pretty wretched. Hope he's a rejuvenated Jose.

IT’S ON LADS
Buzzing if it happens. Only thing I don’t get is he was Chelsea manager so would he mind being our manager, wouldn’t the Chelsea fans make his life hell or was that too long ago / they don’t like him that much anymore?

but if I’m Jose this is the job I’ve been waiting for, our squad is easily 3rd best in the league and we have the best striker in the league, he’s won champions leagues and titles with far worse squads, fingers crossed it’ll be a fun ride if nothing else and as we don’t seem to win anything these days why not have a bit of fun and actually hire a manager who’s previously won big titles.
The fans will come to terms with it when they realise his football isn’t as turgid as people think and he hopefully gets us over the line in some big games.

Can't help but get excited about the prospect of Mourinho coming in and the more i see of the news filtering through, the more eager i am for us to get him signed. We are in desperate need of a serial winner to manage this club and Jose Mourinho is the best out there currently available. He wins trophies and will take no shit from these group of losers. This club need to get the monkey off our backs and i will take a prick like Mourinho short term any day of the week if it means my club finally win something. Make that big appointment Spurs, bring Mourinho in.

I'd be happy with Jose. I actually really like the guy, I like his arrogance. It will be a very interesting appointment and I expect him to do well. For two seasons anyway.

Can't understand why Poch wasn't given the time to turn it round.. So gutted

But equally surprised about the anti mourinhio nonsense... He is the only coach that makes sense to come in now, a proven winner, and if we get this appointment wrong we could even get worse.

Again mate you say his recent record is wretched but he came 2nd with man.u far better than ole is doing and he won 3 trophies, 1 more than we’ve won in the past 30 years!!!!
His style of play can be pragmatic but he works with what he has got, at Real Madrid they scored a record number of goals and played some very exciting football, his Chelsea sides at times both played good football as did Porto. With inter Milan he got the most out of the team and won the bloody CL.

man is a winner and well worth the gamble, it now or never to get Jose in his is the epitome of winner, he’s the kind of manager we should’ve hired years ago when Chelsea beat us too it.
