Ange Postecoglou is set to offer his Celtic backroom Bhoys John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan the chance to join him at Tottenham.

Spurs are expected to make an official approach for the Aussie after his Hoops clinched a historic Treble at Hampden on Saturday. And if he can agree a deal with the Premier League giants, the Aussie will offer Parkhead coaches Kennedy and Strachan key roles on his staff at London Stadium. Spurs owner Daniel Levy wants to hold talks with Postecoglou before the Celtic boss jets off on holiday tomorrow.

But Celtic will demand significant compensation for their manager, whose victory over Inverness Caley Thistle in the Scottish Cup Final took his domestic trophy haul to five out of six in two seasons. Skipper Callum McGregor insisted Celtic can still go from strength to strength even if Postecoglou leaves. But as the dust settled on Celts’ eighth Treble – and a world record fifth won by their captain – McGregor insisted he didn’t know if his gaffer would still be around when pre-season training restarts.

McGregor – who now has 20 winners’ medals in his collection – would love his manager to stay in Glasgow but is convinced life will go on successfully without him if the lure of London proves too much. The Scotland midfielder said: “Of course, selfishly for us, we want to keep him.

"The club wants to keep him as much as we possibly can. He has done such an amazing job. The turnaround since he walked in the door has been incredible, probably people didn’t envisage that happening so quickly.

“You just never know how football works. One thing about football is that you have to be flexible. If that is a parting gift then what a way to go.

“If not, and we are lucky to keep him, then we will be delighted to see him in pre-season. Whatever happens, the club’s in a really good place. We’re in the Champions League again next season so that’s attractive straight away.

Not sure if I believe this tbh

But suppose it wouldn't be that surprising if Mason/Wells leave the club - he will need some staff from somewhere.

So had Pepe Mel, means nothing.
Wasn’t discussing Pepe Mel who is completely irrelevant to the point being addressed.

In the case of Poch, and DL’s decision to appoint him, DL could verify that he had a style of play that he could prove was transferable across two elite leagues

That article sounds like a load of hot air tbh. Kennedy is part of the furniture at Celtic and Ange is known for not retaining staff like a lot of coaches. Also he’s on a 12-month rolling contract so compensation is hardly likely to he an issue. Just seems like some chancer wanting to get their two-cents in.

Geez taking a fucking light hearted comment will ya.. Harry Kewell managed Crawley and I just wanted a link between the two. Fuck me you miserable sods.
He’s actually not a bad coach and is a genuinely nice guy. Got Watford u23s playing some lovely stuff. Crawley was a basket case of a club and I think there’s probably an issue of him finding it difficult working with less talented players in the lower leagues - which wasn’t the case with the Watford youngsters

It's called and free speech. If you find it annoying, I'd suggest you don't read any of my posts. Simple, I've solved it for you 😀
I'm just exercising my free speech by calling it boring, pointless whining.
It's not like you seem to ever add anything to the discussion, you just make ridiculous shitty statements.

If it is really that annoying why take the time to comment?

It maybe boring to you but maybe it isn't to me. It's subjective.

It is also called having an opinion which I am fully within my rights to do. If I want to add context to anything I post, guess what? I will. :)

These lads saying the same thing, and marketing it as an exclusive. I'd suggest this is more likely to be true than not.

How can they demand significant compensation for a manager on a 13 month rolling contract?

Doesn't add up.

They seem to listen to Record on the Celtic forum. But yeah I agree, I’ve seen a compensation mentioned a few different places but I don’t see why there would be one.
