I've deleted the poll and if real life and my ever increasing apathy permits, i'll knock another pointless question up only for one of the candidates to be ruled out resulting in more cries of "hey, SC the poll, the poll" like tattoo from Fantasy fucking Island, a location which, by the way, is where i'm increasingly convinced a lot of you reside.
Maybe we could have a poll about where everyone lives? 🙄

He’s not going to turn us down. If you listen to the interview on YouTube as to how he got the Celtic job, he’s not turning down coming to the PL to manage us. Managing in europe and getting the best job he can, has always been his dream and motivation. If we don’t appoint him it will be because rightly or wrongly we’ve decided to go another way.

100%
For the journey he has had, there is no way he is rejecting our job if we offered him. This is probably his biggest job yet after national job. To lock horns with Pep & Klopp should be a dream for someone like him.

If he gets the job coming week, It will be a tough transition for him & for our team. Fans needs to standby him even if things dont start well. If he comes in, I would like him to get the entire season before judging him

Isn't that a normal thing though. If my time working in Australia taught me anything, its that it is a very parochial place - the South Australians hate the Victorians and vice versa.
Lol....I am from South Australia and yes we HATE Kevin Muscat.
A pig. A thug. A wanker.
He was a thug at Millwall. He was a thug at Melbourne Victory.
He is nothing but a turd.
He should be flushed.

This could be a big call for Ange. He will no doubt get offers over and above anything witnessed before from the Celtic board. Provably less than we’d offer, but still a chance to vastly increase his income and stay to continue what he is building, guaranteeing more success every year.
Or, he takes a massive leap of faith, coming to the biggest league in the world, a chance to really test himself, but, coming into a club in an absolute state of disarray, with a toxic atmosphere being levelled at the board every home game, the side on the picture caught in the crossfire.
Big decision. Stay where he is beloved by the Celtic fanbase and already has the foundations of his team built and should only get stronger, a safe environment for him. Or challenge himself, have the opportunity to really show what he is made of, but knowing it could all go so wrong as Tottenham and the PL is a much more demanding environment where success is harder to come by but infinitely more harshly judged and the ramifications can see you out of a job way sooner.
Having watched a few interviews now, he seems an ambitious guy not afraid of a challenge, perfectly willing to step outside his comfort zone, so I think he’ll take it, but could see the attraction of staying put also. Maybe the board see that risk also, hence having Luis Enrique still on speed dial.
On Postecoglou, I’m not sure how I feel about him not always taking a back room staff. I can see us having Mason and Wells stay on with him, but from a professional point of view, you’d surely see the benefit of bringing one or two coaches with you to help speed up getting your message across.
Either way, I hope it is done quickly, and we don’t have to wait for him to come back from holiday.

I'm in west sussex

Kids shout abuse at me when I walk the dogs for wearing a spurs jacket 😤
I've only had that once, last year, also while walking the dog.
Had a little group of teens sing the get battered song at me. I briefly considered showing them what getting battered actually feels like and windmilling my way through them (not in the cock waving sense!) but settled on just laughing at them.

To get back on topic, I'm really positive about Ange now. I honestly think he could be just what we need.
I know he brings doubts with him and has plenty of naysayers but he's always stepped up to the next challenge presented to him, during his long and hard struggle to get to where he has, so there's no real reason he won't be able to make the next step a success.

I like his hunger and desire.
I also like an underdog story.

The fun part about ange is the celtic fans losing their shit on social media. Arguing about celtic being a bigger club, and not understanding why he'd potentially go to spurs.

I had one tell me that celtic had a bigger fanbase, so I argued with facts.

Spurs have around 90 million social media fans, to celtics 9 million.

They then argue, its about supporter clubs world wide, there are loads of north American supporter clubs. I then kindly point put that spurs have 100 in the USA, whilst celtic have 24.

They then argue, its due to them having a larger stadium, which I then argue that spurs have had the higher average attendance as a %.

Too easy

Yeah I'm less enthusiastic in fact I'm quite literally the opposite 🙃
But time will tell I guess.

Levy generally doesn't sack a manager if the fans are still with him so I guess it's on us to back AP or whoever comes in and give them time to imprint better habits on players who are talented but have lost their way in recent years. Surely after Jose and Conte we can see that there is no magic wand- it's going to be about hard graft and total buy-in for us to have any prospect of sustained improvement.
People say the next gaffer will be under pressure early if results are not the best but I would like to think that if we the fans can see that the quality of the football is improved we will have the willingness to back him to emerge from that run. Constant chopping and changing is harming us as managers bring in players to suit their system and lumber the next guy with them after they depart and we have way too much deadwood to get rid of as it is. My avatar says it all. Whoever we appoint please can the Football Gods or whoever is in charge of these things just give us a season to enjoy! We have paid our dues and then some. I cannot take any more of the relentless negativity that last campaign inflicted.

I just don’t see him coming, I don’t know why just feel he will stay with Celtic. I assume if he is off on holiday Tuesday we will hear the outcome very quickly.
I feel the opposite, I honestly would be shocked if he doesn’t come. Even if he’s not completely convinced by our proposal I think considering his age he might see it as his last real shot at a big club. But I agree, I’d expect us to hear something tomorrow.

I grew up in Western Australia and moved to Victoria, for a few reasons. Went back temporarily to WA and decided to move back to Victoria (for my now wife) and I still remember my grandmother crying saying "I can't believe you're moving over to the enemy".
Woah, I hope you told her to, "go have a relaxation wank."

He's never had a top top paying job. He could sit and become a legend at celtic, or make a shed load off the back of the Premier league

We seem to be doing quite well
without a Manager.
Let's see how far we can go undefeated
before we rush in to anything..
If only SC could reach a consensus
we could run the whole show from here.

Cut out the Middlemen.

I went to check out a Celtic forum. Honestly most of them were just kind of sad he was leaving and it overshadowed their treble, etc. Don't have anything against those guys personally. I'd feel the same.

...But in the end I do find Celtic, Rangers and their tired, overplayed rivalry completely insufferable so let's do this.

Manager's message from the Celtic Official site. Spot the lack of "we go again" type message here. I think he is leaving for sure....

By Ange Postecoglou

Congratulations on winning the Treble! This is your success as much as it is the players and coaching staff, and every single member of the Celtic Family deserves to celebrate this incredible moment for the club.

We know that the history of Celtic is littered with success, and this season’s Treble now takes its place alongside everything that has come before us.

It is also a significant moment for the club, given that it sets a new world record of winning eight domestic Trebles.

The aim of every Celtic team at the start of a season is to do as well as they possibly can in every competition they take part in, and that was the same for us when the campaign kicked off back in July last year.

We achieved our first objective in winning the League Cup, retaining the trophy we won last season, with an impressive derby victory at Hampden which was a great occasion for everyone to celebrate.

We followed that up by winning the Premiership title for the second season in a row, confirming our status as the best team in Scotland and that, in turn, has once again delivered UEFA Champions League football to the club.

The level of consistency the squad showed through the season, winning 32 of the 38 games, drawing three and losing just three, is great credit to the players. We also scored 114 league goals and conceded just 34 which, again, is a testament to our style of football which has entertained our supporters throughout the season.

Having won both of those competitions, we could then focus on the Scottish Cup final and the opportunity to win that trophy and so secure the Treble.

I know that the Scottish Cup final is always a special occasion for supporters and one that everyone looks forward to, and so to win this famous old trophy in the sun at Hampden is an occasion to celebrate.

This Treble now sits alongside the seven previous Trebles that the club has won under Jock Stein, Martin O’Neill, Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon, and it’s an achievement that everyone at the club is rightly very proud of.

It was also special to be able to celebrate today’s success alongside so many of our supporters in Hampden, and given that every single fan plays their part in what we do through the incredible backing they give the team week in, week out, it’s something that we can all share and enjoy together.

Thank you Again!

£2mill + a year currently at Celtic, not bad if you can get it.
No doubt Spurs will offer him an increase on Celtic's new offer but Celtic would almost certainly offer longer job term security.
Think the challenge of competing in PL will be his main reason to come.
