Training? Telling top level pros to pass the ball quickly and cross it in from the wide areas?

Give me Enrique and his ladder.
I remember watching Poch shouting at Bentaleb during one of his first matches as our Manager "pass the ball quicker quicker Nabil !"

Ange obviously has a lot going for him even if most of us find it harder to accept the currency of his success to date- but the one thing that stands out is his comms skills- he has had to adapt his pitch to suit Aussies, Japanese and at Celtic a whole host of nationalities. Having worked in five Asian countries albeit in a vastly different field I know how fkin hard this is.

Give him Raya, Laporte and Olmo and watch him roll.

Looked through the Celtic thread from the forum posted earlier there were some interesting/amusing posts:

Don't usually get any sort of info but have heard from a decent source that the deal to go to Spurs is definitely done.

Ange will go and he will fail.

We will get a new manager, a better manager, maybe one that has tactics that doesn't leave us hung out to dry in European competitions.
When ange gets sacked he can come back up on a European night and watch us qualify out of the champions league group.

I know the guys personally who valet all the staff/players cars at Lennoxtown every Friday. They also valet Ange’s wife’s car at their home every now and again which they did at 4.30pm today. Called me about an hour ago as he was leaving the job to say as he thanked her for everything (he was purposely fishing) she said I’m not saying goodbye, I’ll see you next season!

Reading that back it sounds like utter shampoo and I’ll likely get slaughtered on here but it’s genuinely what happened. She might be at it and playing the game, who knows, we will just have to wait and see I suppose. FWIW I’ve always had an inkling that he’s staying.

d) is mates with a new senior appointments and has an agent well known to the club from an agency we do a lot of work with. That we are panicking and now don’t know where we are turning so relying on agents again to advise us.

Or are we being too cynical?
I think Spurs fans are the MSM dream..... If we (fans) believed only 50% of what's reported, we'd be in a more sane place and probably nearer the truth....

Plenty of pros and cons if Ange gets the gig. Overall, I'd be pretty upbeat about it because after years of turgid shite he'd bring a whole different approach that we could get behind and hopefully be proud of. He's a very strong character so I don't expect him to be taking any shit and he certainly isn't all about himself which will be a nice change. He's a problem solver too and has shown that he will adapt when things need to change. He wants to form his teams into cohesive units who work together. I like all of those things.

Of course there are question marks, just like with any other manager. Primarily, can we attract the quality of players we need to get back on track? Laporte would be a great pick up, but would he want to come if Ange was in charge? He needs to understand that Cameron Carter-Vickers may have been integral to Celtics season but he needs a colossal upgrade on that level of player to succeed in the EPL.

The big question for me is, if Kane stays, can he Ange do enough to persuade him to extend his contract? If not, we'll have lost a heap of money when he goes on a Bosman and the season will have fallen short of expectations.

Like most on here I admit I knew very little about Ange abs was totally underwhelmed when he was first mentioned. After watching all the videos and reading the interviews and reading his life/football philosophy I have come around. He’s very bright, a really decent man and I can definitely buy into him. He seems like a great fit . I actually don’t think there’s many parallels with any manager we’ve had. If anything he reminds me a bit of Wenger. It’ll be good to have a manager who’s likeable and a happy squad of players trying to play enjoyable football. I’m personally sick of the win at all cost managers not winning playing defensive football with the handbrake on.

Sadly think this is unlikely whoever the new manager is tbh. Think given the level of competition for top 4 and the money our rivals will be throwing around, it would take a minor miracle for even a top candidate like Nagelsmann to get us Top 4 next season (and thus give Kane incentive to stay).

Think we basically need to give the new manager Kane for a season so that we don't risk going into complete free fall, then hopefully the season after we're a stronger collective and can handle losing our best player (cos right now I think we really can't).

Not getting a fee for him will be annoying but I think the implications of selling him right now would be worse.

Instead of Postecoglu being “Nuno 2.0” I’m thinking the situation is more like if we had actually hired Fonseca.

I don’t believe that timeline is covered in trophies and glory but it’s hard to image it being more grim than this one.

Oh great we’re at the stage where people think a 3min YouTube clip of a manager taking a training session looks ‘under 11’s’ level.

and yet probably watching the Arsenal documentary and saying “no fucking way! An actual lightbulb?!”

🤦🏻‍♂️
was it a person rather than people? Bored of posters saying people said this and that
