my guess would be that nothing concrete is happening. the board are scrambling because they didn’t expect that feyenoord would want actual money for their prized asset, and that caught them by surprise
I get the sentiment, and it’s concerning after the Nuno fiasco, but it could be that people just don’t know what’s going on and everything is being kept close to Levy’s chest. Considering we didn’t hear a thing about Munn or Paratici (think it was annoucned in a news report saying he is joining us) being appointed before they happened, it’s a possibility.

How can he accept and accept Celtic is his level?
He's likely to get at best one shot at the premier league so he might view us as too much of a shit show to risk it. I'm not saying he would definitely turn us down but I do think it's funny that people automatically assume we can get him or any manager really. If i were advising Ange I know I would consider telling him to hang on for a more stable club. Premier League jobs come up all the time and if he starts well again next season then he has a good shout to replace a manager that's been sacked.
If he picks us and he gets sacked in 12-16 months which is the norm for us then he won't get another crack at this level.

I just think it's no guarantee we can get any manager from lesser leagues with Slot being the proof of that

Nothing against Ange because I respect his achievements and talents but if he remains at Celtic, this must be be a sign to the board just how unattractive things are at Spurs given that we have already been unable to successfully land Slot…

Feck a duck BIG ange hasn't turned us down probably because we haven't even approached him slot in his own words said no talks with spurs.
Dave from the dog and duck also didn't turn us down possibly because we didn't approach him either.

But.. but.. a man on twitter said so it must be true I hear everyone and his dog say.
Literally nobody but Daniel coys xx levy knows what's happening and that sausage comes across like ges clueless also.

Sorry but can I just ask why so many in here are so vehemently No to Luis Enrique (yet can be so excited about Ange)?

trying to understand
I asked because I remembered thoroughly enjoying watching Spain at last year’s World Cup… the way they pass and move, create chances and carve teams apart is very incisive and honestly, not really seen before

so I went to trusty YouTube and from the highlights of how his barca and Spain national team played, defences had no answer against his attacking tactics - so many clever triangles, dummies, runners from deep, lay offs creating shooting chances and his attackers are always moving!

one of the chief complaints of poch end era and Nuno, Jose n Conte was that there is hardly any attacking movement esp when teams sit deep… most of Enrique’s teams’ goals seem to be against not just defences who sit deep but where there are 5-8 defenders in and around the box, and yet they find ways to create chances and score

if he can make morata look so good, imagine he has Kane son and richy (because most of the above goals are scored in the box and there’s where richy will benefit)

think Spain only went out of WC cos they are too young (youngest average squad age iirc) n inexperienced

i really don’t get the negative reactions at all… I really like the clever attacking plays as well as the fact that his teams score against packed defences

Given Feyenoord gave Slot a bumper new deal and as already reported, Postecoglou may be getting the same… wonder if he accepts and/or decides Celtic is his level

Good way to get him a huge new contract by his agent. Link him with us. He wont be the first!

His Spain team were unbelievably boring to watch. I am biased because I loathe tika taka with a passion but still.

Will give whoever comes in a chance but can't say any of them really enthuse me. Specially not when Poch was sitting there waiting and JN is still available.

Enrique is tactically flexible and plays attacking possession based football. It is exactly what the majority have been asking for.

The only question mark is if he's willing to invest in a project long term. He says he is.

We could do much worse than hiring Enrique

Ange is a lot older though.

It may be now or never for him. His stock won’t get any higher whilst he’s at Celtic.
I see the point but I cannot for the life of me think that an organisation such as ours would use age as a metric for potential desirability.

His Celta team played some fun attacking stuff.

Are you a manager with a year left on your contract? Maybe, you are in the final year and your employers are being cocks? Well worry no more! Dr Tottenham will professionally *snigger* attempt to make you their manager, this will make your current employers shit the bed and offer you a new deal! 100% success rate so far! Call Daniel now!

Maybe... but I don't think Enrique has the right personality for us. I would really like someone who is energetic with an infectious aura around him. To me Enrique seems a bit boring... yes. His style is positive. But I don't get that vibe from him where I think that he would sweep through the whole club and change the mood in the right direction. Both on and off the pitch.

And that's what we need IMO. It's not only about the football.

Reading the back pages today seeing Poch to Chelsea confirmed is painful, what is more painful is the fact that Chelsea sacked Potter after we sacked Conte yet they have a very good manager confirmed who is now sorting out contract situations for Kante, Mount and is meeting with all the players ahead of making summer plans before starting work on 1st July, meanwhile we have no Manager or DofF 🤔 if Todd Bohley is ‘clueless’ then what on Earth is Levy!

Really hope we hear some good news developing soon.
