Nope 13 million slots wasn’t active till next summer .

Levy won't want to pay a compensation fee of that level and it will be why this fell apart. That's starting to come out now.

I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt up until now. But we’re now scrabbling around for third and fourth choices.

The club simply had to get it right this time. If Slot is first choice then just pay the money.

Can’t see anything expect disaster from here on out. Gonna be looking for a new boss in November again probably.
Yeah feels properly grim now.

When Nagelsmann and Kompany were off the table I was fine with that as I thought we always had Slot up our sleeve. With him out of the picture the pickings are looking slim.

I'd be fine, if not hugely excited, by either Amorim or Ange, but what's to stop them saying no too, at which point we're in proper Nuno territory again.

Really thought we couldn't mess this summer up but it's looking like an exact copy of 21 so far.

I take it a step further, a tv show called The Only Way is Tottenham. All the managers, coaches and agents are the main cast, mixed in with Tottenham officials where they bitch, gossip, scheme and laugh behind levy’s back.
Only Fools and Spurs. Levy is Del Boy, Munn is Rodney and Uncle Albert is Pleat

If we were/are going to turn into a data led policy for buying players, then doesn’t the same thing also apply to a certain extent to other appointments? Obviously certain things take precedent but that will always apply to this method.

Appointing a man who has a history of his tenures unravelling spectacularly at a club with a history of its managers tenures unraveling spectacularly seems a great fit, no?

Probably not but I don't think he is the disaster in waiting that a lot of our fans seem to think. I think he is at a crossroads in his own career where he had the taste of being at a big club very early and if he ever wants to get back to that level again a job like ours could be the best shot he has.

Or a mockumentary like ‘The Office’ - Levy popping out periodically when he thinks he’s the butt of the joke, or to tell the accountants about his O-Levels…

it's all very similar to 2021 except i was actually somewhat invested in what happened then, now i just find myself laughing at how ridiculous it's all become

You can but there is a big difference here. RDZ knows from the off he was first choice and that he will get the backing he wants, because Brighton wanted him and made him their priority. Mangers aren't stupid and know that clubs will have spoken and wanted numerous managers ahead of them, and that they are an after thought because we are getting desperate. It's how we ended up with Nuno. I keep saying it but this interviewing process is bullshit. It's not like appointing a cashier for Tesco ffs. Managers, like players have to feel wanted if they are top of the food chain. You have to sell the idea to them not the other way around. I know enough people in the game(agents etc) to know this is the case.

Top clubs head hunt their managers, they don't advertise for them on Indeed.

The whole interview thing was a big red flag for how we do things and unlike you I don’t work in the game just seems backwards.

Yup - you just have to strap in for the ride and see where it heads - no point getting so worked up about it.
