SC members in a week: Can I just shock you? I like Brendan Rodgers. Despite what I said earlier.

Fucking hell. We can't even get a manager from Feyenoord. This club is absolutely rotten to the core. I hope Kane fucks off - he deserves better, and then Levy can try and justify his position when we have Neil Warnock in charge whilst fighting relegation.

My dad died suddenly yesterday and I am in bits. This news just pushes me further into a spiral.

Levy really has to get this appointment correct. The club are at a major crossroads. Bounce back into the top 4 or be in danger of being the next Leicester. I’m seriously worried that he’s gonna f*** this up..

How many crossroads are we going to be at during Levy's tenure? He must go because he will be at another crossroads in a year or two.

Taking a year sabbatical according to latest reports.
Hasn't the chairman triggered an automatic one year extention?

I've just stopped following all 'progress' of our manager search now. Any news is either BS or liable to change so quickly to deem it irrelevant. Our season was as good as over 2 months ago and we've got nowhere.

Strongly considering Big Ange right up until Celtic ask for anything more than £500k and a packet of Cheese & Onion Discos in compensation. At which point Donna will whisper something in Daniel’s ear about Brendan Rodgers being available for free, and we can all imagine which part of that scenario is gonna make his trousers twitch!

I'm sure it's because we saw him as too risky for the 20m or whatever. It's just crazy to let it go this long without finding that out early on. If it's not Nagelsmann now then anything else is going to be a disappointment for me. I think those were our 2 best options, Poch being the 3rd but he's off to Chelsea.

Edit- Gallardo would be great actually but there have been no links sadly

I'm still baffled by the Poch decision. I keep going over it. I can only presume that it's down to transfers in Poch's final season. Levy brought that up in his recent talk at Oxford Uni, so it's clearly on his mind. Poch drove the £100m investment in N'Dombele and Lo Celso. And drove Trippier out, according to Trippier himself - and we know how much we've spent on 3 not-as-good right backs since. Add in earlier failed big money transfers, like £30m for Sissoko too, and maybe, in Levy's mind at least, looking back on it, he just doesn't trust Poch to lead a rebuild. And Poch would be demanding full control over transfers.

That's the only reason I can think of for spurning such an obvious move that both Poch and the fan base clearly wanted. And one that would have lifted pressure and fan anger from Levy himself...
