If it’s Slot we may get Van Persie as his assistant. That’s hilarious
Watching the game on Sunday, RVP was not in the dugout, rather he was watching from up in the directors box and dressed in normal clothes and not training kit/team wear.
so not sure how much he is really essential to Slot who had quite a lot of other coaches with him on bench.

yeah seems strange the manager would be appointed without the DOF in place as they will have to work soo closely maybe the DOF is already known too
It's not good

I predicted they would throw a present at us before Saturday and doing it now doesn't feel like it's for the right reasons.

Don't panic, get the DOF interviews done, decide on one and then present him with what you have done and see his faults. Then him , Munn and Levy can interview preferred candidates.

In the meantime get on YouTube and apologise , I do it all the time to my missus, it ain't hard. Explain that you know we're fed up and you acknowledge mistakes have been made but you intend to rectify them this summer- that is what you should do before Saturday.

yeah me too, wanted JN or RDZ, Slot is a 50/50 for me coming from the dutch league, could do well but will be a big step up as our league is soo competitive whereas there is a big drop off in the quality of the whole dutch league
I just want the 'were back' vibes. Dont have it. Tbf this means nothing in the grand scheme things lol

I think you list Slot's achievements(the journo's certainly will) in the right words and way, and it's quite an easy sell tbh.
@Trix I think the press could go the other way, everyone who has asked me who I think will be next manger and Ive said Slot all of them have said who's that and taken the piss. obv I know that means nothing but as a club/brand it could be portrayed as a bit of a step down from Jose/Conte to a relatively unknown name/brand (I know the previous two didnt achieve anything but they were a brand that elevated us a club to go with the big shiny stadium etc) if that makes sense

While not my first choice, he seems to be a coach that one could get behind whether you are a player or a fan. He does have a presence around him which the clubs sorely lacks.

What's your channel?

As far as I can tell Slot has been one of the main candidates this whole time, and with Munn talking to him I'm sure they will have spoken about who the prospective DOF will be (if we haven't got someone lined up already). It's not like he'll come in with no knowledge of who it is or could be.

Just reminding everyone that an ex-arsenal manager won us a trophy.

I want the best manager we can get that is right for us. Their previous jobs don’t matter to me, if they win, if they improve us, if they aren’t arrogant and/or mercenary.

I wouldn't be surprised if Slot were agreeable to having Mason in a pretty high position within his staff; maybe his assistant?

I hope you're right? The timing through reeks of rush it through in a panic so Saturday isn't a toxic mess.

My channel is Sexy househusband films himself being wrong over and over and over again (in his partners opinion).

You use YouTube to apologise to your wife?

Just a reminder that the ex arsenal manager was despised , divided the fanbase and never had his name sung

I don't care about van persie but using that bloke as an example isn't a good idea.

I think times and perhaps attitudes have shifted somewhat with regard to long serving managers. Managers move every few years apart from a rare few and so to rule out someone that served at a team a few don’t like, when they could do something for us, is short-sighted.

If the manager is actually a cock, that’s a different matter.

I like Mason....he clearly has the club's best interests at heart and I think he has a bright future as a coach but I really really want him to move on.

We really need to dismantle any traces of the current culture at the club and rebuild...we need a complete fresh start...Keeping people Like Mason around, as well as Dier, Hojberg, Lloris etc. just serves to perpetuate the culture that has developed at the club in the last 5 years that clearly has not worked for us.

Mason was one of the key drivers in adopting Poch's ethos.

It's amazing how selective you are with the individuals. No kane, or son mentioned.
