Fuck this negativity. I'm still looking at this as an opportunity and am looking forward to the outcome. Thank Christ the moaning 'bastuards' (that probably also sit around me) are now coming out and proclaiming it's the end for them and Spurs. I won't miss you.

It's a bloody feeding frenzy. I will also liken it to when we signed Stevie B and Porro - both the best and fastest things that ever happened to Spurs.

Wait and see and then complain when something actually does happen as opposed to something that might.

Lewis does not care about the club - at all. Lewis cares about his investment.

So, far the investment is performing admirably, whilst the club struggle. As long as that remains true, then Levy is doing what Lewis wants.

Where is gets interesting is how Lewis reacts to the next couple of years when revenue is declining or flat. Levy has gotten himself in a little bit of a pickle here, as he probably needs additional investment from Lewis to right the ship, but he has probably "promised" that all he needed was the investment Lewis committed to last summer.
True, dreading the next few years not much light at end of tunnel coming through sadly

POK has some different info and says we haven't walked away from Nagelsmann yet.

Can imagine there's a lot of posturing going on.

So is Nagelsmann waiting on our decision then? I doubt that.

This is what should be happening anyway. It's foolish to use the club as some kind of emotional crutch.

I don't think many use it as a crutch. They're just desperate for some positivity around the Club, and the hope for success.

I've accepted things won't change under Levy, and others should as well.

It’s like he’s got too much choice, he’d like a kid in a sweet shop who can’t decide what he wants but then remembers he’s only gone in there with 10p and found out Fredo’s are now more expensive.

This. This a thousand times. People are getting upset and angry over something that hasn't happened. Wait until we hire someone. Wait until Munn has actually spent a decent amount of time in the job. We could hire someone the majority don't like and they may surprise us.

Thing is, Levy doesn’t like to put specifics into a contract and it’s just a gentleman’s handshake and promises of joy and of management being management and of no interference. I suspect that, finally, word is well and truly out and thank the Christ for that.
However, even a good, or great manager will need a lot of time with this squad the way it is to start to turn things around. Also will need to replace HK, I should imagine, as I’m pretty sure the penny has dropped with him too and we could do with that £100m.
So many reasons we need the right man this time.

I think we should all get ready to just enjoy our summers with our families, safe in the knowledge that nothing is gonna change at the club and all this doesn't really matter.

Don't forget to pay your season ticket and membership renewals also.

Thing is, in response to some earlier posts, football IS a crutch to some people, the joy of watching great entertainment, of a kind of other family, a dream, hope of success. An escape from the reality of difficult lives, escape from loss. Not a thing to be underestimated in it’s importance..

Yes it is important, and for me it definitely has been a crutch in recent years especially. More so this past week having been severely into a black hole and feeling suicidal. But even I can see there's no point getting angry over something that hasn't happened and isn't even in my control. Nobody knows what will happen. Yes you have pre-conceived ideas based on past experiences, however anything can happen. Discuss all the possibilities absolutely, there's just no need to go OTT with regards to speculation and assumptions.

I just think he doesn't want to accept he's been getting it wrong, and any half decent prospective coach with ambition will be pointing this out in spades to him before taking the job. He's got this utopian view of how football should work financially, and maybe he's right. It might very well be that things should be as he dreams it should. The problem is everyone else working in football accepts it is what it is, and gets on with it so nothing lines up.
Jeez.

Fans on his back.

High profile managers calling him out.

Pundits highlighting the poor strategy.

Media starting to report more that “Spursy” might as well just be “Levy”

you’d think at this point he’d want to get it right. Seek the right advice, cut his losses on players consecutive managers don’t want, see with his own eyes what we see every week with certain 1st teamers… I can’t believe a supposed intelligent man would carry on as normal.

😞

Just for fun my order of preference would be...

Nagelsmann
De Zerbi
Kompany
Postegcoglu
Slot
Alonso
Amorim
Enrique

I'd be happy with any on that list but my order off preference would be:

1. Nagelsmann
2. Enrique
3. De Zerbi
4. Amorim
5. Slot
6. Kompany
7. Alonso
8. Postecoglu

But I also think we're getting ahead of ourselves, we haven't got a scooby as to what's really happening and we're all getting a little tiny bit hysterical. I think some of what we're hearing doesn't add up or sit square with previous stuff concerning him realising that a reset is needed so a lot of all this smells whiffy to me. Also, it's taking a long time but is it. Are our hands tied by the end of the season, is it unfortunate timing and the longer it takes the more the pendulum of stories swings negatively, then back to positively, tick, tock, tick, tock.

You’ll not get a more accurate paragraph in this thread. 👏🏻

So many conflicting reports, we legit don’t have a clue what’s actually happening and it’s just causing mass panic.

So any coach worth their badges is asking for the club to do their bit and Levy won't guarantee it.
I think Levy can't guarantee it - more so than he "won't" guarantee it.

I suspect Levy is very limited in what he can guarantee in terms of transfer budget, and players who will be available.

This is one of the biggest and most crucial points. Even though we're crap, if bentancur was fit all season we'd be much better. It's one of the reasons city win so much, because their crazy squad levels mean they swap someone out if they get injured or lose form.
City win so much because they make full use of their squad by constantly rotating which means everyone is comfortable playing alongside any one else. That means there is no drop off in performance whatever the starting 11 is..

If the current spell of negativity is true, maybe as it stands he's desperate for a get out of jail free card and could it be that there's a slim chance that he realises that card has got Pochettino stamped all over it.
Also been thinking about this.

Poch was a done deal to Chelsea last week, gone a bit quiet this week.

maybe things going on behind the scenes, who knows.

(Poch will probably sign for Chelsea tomorrow now 🙄)
