Fwiw I don't really want him back, purely out of fear that it will go wrong and tarnish the happy memories of how good we were under his first tenure
Yes, it would be much better Poch going to Chelsea and being hugely successful with them, maybe winning the CL, overshadowing his time with Spurs completely, and making him a Chelsea legend

We wanted him to break his contract with PSG but Poch didn't want to risk losing the pay off. That's my relocation from back then. Could be to do with that.
But did we want Poch to re-join us in the summer of 2021 but not any more?

Complete and utter fucking circus.

Matt Law posted an article today or the other day stating that we're a laughingstock in the eyes of the world. Not surprising he's making these assumptions then.

I doubt we'll have any news for a while. We won't go for or announce Slot until he's won the league with Feyenoord and we'll no doubt wait similarly for Nagelsmann despite him not currently in a job. With the antics of 2021 in mind I wouldn't be surprised if we'd end up with a surprise candidate outside of Slot and Nagelsmann either, reactive as we are. I'd like us to get a DoF in place before anything else.

I like Slot but given how many top choices are out there at the moment, bringing him in whilst seeing Nagelsmann go elsewhere and Poch go to Chelsea of all places would be quite an unsavoury outcome.
But, I suspect, ultimately the best result for us.

I am now fully expecting Nagelsmann to come here, be an absolute disaster and have fully ruined his career while there are still people younger than him playing in the Premier League.

As a fan, I will never accept Poch going to Chelsea, even if he's not in a job. In the last decade our rivalry with Chelsea has grown to equal, and in some ways even surpass our rivalry with Arsenal IMO.

Poch said he'd never go to Barca because of his ties to Espanyol, going to Chelsea or Arsenal is the same and if he goes I'd never want him back at the club again. He constantly flirted with the big boys while he was here too. That to me shows a lack of integrity.

I'm sure there was some ITK somewhere the other day that we weren't keen on Nagelsmann anymore
I thought the ITK was we cooled on him as he didn’t give the impression he was very interested - people took that to mean Chelsea at the time, but could just as easily be PSG or even just a break that he’s after.

Could be that there is an element of truth to him having a huge ego, and wanting us to roll out the red carpet for him and hand him the keys to hotspur way, rather than being treated as an equal to other potential candidates.

Nagglesman would be great tbh. The work nagelesmann did before Bayern was exceptional.

The way Naglesmen sets out his team is more attacking than we’ve seen before.

I also like to think some of our younger stars would flourish under Ngalesmean.

All down to levy to prove he’s ready to give Nagelsmann time and patience.
I'm ready for it

Nagelsmann's Nagelsmean Nagelsmen...Blue and White Army 😏

After some early excitement , it's beginning to dawn on me that Nagelsmann not going there means nothing for us apart from having to watch Poch at Chelsea 😕

Nobody better at talking than José, but I wouldn’t be shouting like this at a coach who’s took you to the death twice with a team that costs pennies compared to yours.
Jose only gets involved with you if he thinks you are any good, if you are shit he goes easy on you.....Slot had a team with largely shit players doing well, only Kokcu No 10 looked half decent..

I was 100% sure Chelsea would appoint Nagelsmann or Enrique. Stunned that it will be Poch (or looks like it). I don't want him at Spurs as I am unconvinced of him tactically but I have to say I'd be a bit gutted to see him go there. My top 3 remains RDZ Enrique Nagelsmann but it does look like it will be Slot.

Agree. We've only just parted ways with our director of football today which is a big deal. Lots of time to play with.

I'm still struggling to see poch at the chavs.

But did we all feel the same way when all of those top ex chelsea coaches like mourinho and conte came to us? There is very little loyalty in football and ultimately money talks. As much as i would love it for poch to reject them, we clearly haven't made a move for him, but barring the madrid job, (which i cant see opening this summer) there really are very few elite clubs who he will have a shout at getting now or anytime soon. He would be joining a club in london where he resides, a club with massive pulling power, and with how bad they have been, only way is up really, especially as they have a lot of young players to mould, so i see why he would be convinced to go there.

That being said i still think chelsea is a bigger circus than us right now and boehly would give anybody alarm bells.

I'm buzzing because I'm desperate for Naglesmann. Ancelotti is staying at Madrid or so he says, Paris is a bigger basketcase than anyone but Chelsea, I reckon we can get our man

Probably on the basis of Alasdair Gold saying we want someone who sees us as first choice. JN talking to Chelsea suggests we weren’t/aren’t.
Gotta think Slot gets announced once the Eredivisie season ends
