He can still be formulating a thought process on who our next manager should be.He doesn’t join until the summer though.

Not really, we had good potential but Poch unlocked that. All those players became better under Poch. Its funny that he developed these players into top players and people remember it as a team of top players like any manager could do well with them. I bet if we had Conte he wouldn't even give some of them a chance back then and I include Kane in that.I don’t think that's true. We had good players then and Poch hit on a system that really played to everyone's strengths.
We had a really good back four where Toby and Jan allowed the fullbacks Rose and Walker to wreak havoc going forward. We had Eriksen and Dembele in their prime and we had young and hungry forwards in Kane and Son. As a unit, they were better than what we have now.
Our undoing was that it was all essentially a fluke. We didn't have (and still don't have) a proper scouting apparatus, which explains the transfer market disasters we have suffered when trying to re-create the magic formula. We don't have a football philosophy that permeates every fibre of the club. We don't have a winning mentality. And most of all, we have a chairman who doesn't have a clue as to what it takes to run the football side of a football club.
I feel that re-appointing Poch is yet another attempt to re-create a one-off situation. It could only end in disappointment. Turn the page and start afresh.
Your argument is a tough position to defend when it’s based purely on hypothetical outcomes. Not really, we had good potential but Poch unlocked that. All those players became better under Poch. So if you’re ruling out Poch and Ange (can’t spell his last name) , that means….I have to say, I admire your stamina...............Fifty pages devoted to arguing the merits of two men who probably won't get the gig
I was consulted on strategy and recruitment of my direct reports before I officially joined my current organisation. Happens all the time.He doesn’t join until the summer though.
This was his first big moment.Postecoglu is the first Australian to win a title in Europe. Think he was also the first to do so in Japan.
His track record of totally rebuilding sides and then winning titles is impressive and suggests there is something about him. None of the teams in Australia and Japan were flying high when he took over and weren't recent title winners.
He also did well with the national side, qualifying for a World Cup and winning a first Asian Cup.
He's usually left clubs on his own terms.
I don't think 57 is particularly old for a coach.
Id probably hazard a guess that the reason he hasn't taken a position in europe sooner is partly family and partly a lack of opportunities. A fair number of people were very surprised when Celtic appointed him.
He appears to have the right sort of personality but i do accept some of our bigger stars may have reservations so it may take a few games for him to win them all over.
That is nice and everything but you might as well have training cones instead of opposition there
What's hypothetical about the fact that Poch developed a lot of the players?Your argument is a tough position to defend when it’s based purely on hypothetical outcomes.
None. Ange was Melboune Victory. Munn was Melbourne Heart/City.I wonder if Scott Munn's Melbourne links and the fact Ange Postecoglou was managing in Melbourne will have any influence on the decision?
The bit below is the definition of hypothetical…What's hypothetical about the fact that Poch developed a lot of the players?

So you only take the last bit and ignore the first to make a point? OK. Still not answered the question because you don't have an answer. The bit below is the definition of hypothetical…
This is a crazy goal from Feynoord.

But didn't Ange's Japanese team have City stake in it? I thought I read that somewhereNone. Ange was Melboune Victory. Munn was Melbourne Heart/City.
Different teams and they hate each other.
There’s talk of Slot being offered a new contract by Feyenoord now, a sizeable contract that’s never been seen in Holland for a manager before according to reports.
He is hugely rated and regarded in Holland.
We must do all we can to get him.
We would blow anything they offered him out of the water. There’s talk of Slot being offered a new contract by Feyenoord now, a sizeable contract that’s never been seen in Holland for a manager before according to reports.

But, we’ve been there before when we had a top target, and ended up seven ducks down the stream with Nuno. I just hope things don’t follow the same trajectory.Profile will be high on the list for the board which is why I think Nagelsmann is the no1 candidate.
Other ducks are being lined up in case we can't persuade him.
I'd say it's probably a very difficult path going from Austraila/Japan to the Premier league. Unless going to a minor european league first. This was his first big moment.
He frankly deserved more before this but this made his name.
He deserves everything he gets. He is wonderful.
