I’m as confused about the manager search as a ‘Levy in a football related board meeting…’
It ain’t Poch cos he’d be in already (opinion). I now don’t think JN is the hit I believed him to be. Ange sounds quite a nice little left bank suggestion ….
I like the sound of Slot too: based purely on what I’ve read in this thread. Gallardo? @Ghost Hardware has a good handle on footy matters, & likes him. …
I’ve a odd feeling di zerbi will be high up in levy’s mind - regardless of compensation… basically, I’m clueless…
But if I was to consider Enics modus operandi re profit margins, then the “miracles” Slot seems to have achieved suggests he’d suit the company line… until the summer I reckon we’ll suffer a place in the top 8… reboot, and get on track again. Typing as I think - not necessarily the best way; but wanted to share my feelings/opinion. Cos I’m frickin bored with it all
The next manager will be hired by accident. Like Mr Bean. Mistaken identity. But will be a big success.

To be fair, Levy wasn’t even born the last time Tottenham won the league.

We were already forty years into our league title drought by the time he rocked up at the club.

What??? He was already interfering with the running of the team from his daddy’s ball sack the bald c***

True, but I’d wager there are more that do!!!
You’d be wrong.

You really think all of those booing him out of the job have changed their mind just because of a couple of wrong appointments since?

hate to think how much money I wasted at away games not winning at all for 12 months!

and we’ve suffered from the biggest ever purchases the club had made being total pony: Sanchez, Ndombele, Lo Celso

I'm guessing he's going by the poll, on this thread, which has him most popular?

Fortunately, this site has never reflected actual sentiment in the stadium (at least where i stand)

there were massive arguments last game when people started signing “he’s magic”.

If Gallardo is so special he’s almost a cheat code, why wasn’t he picked by any Spanish clubs?
He was, he turned down Barcelona when managing River. Real also had him on the list to replace Zidane but opted for Ancelotti.

I think the concern I would have with Ange is he seems to want inverted fullbacks like Guardiola which would mean even more squad upheaval than we are already going to need.

We would essentially have to replace every single one of:
Udogie
Porro
Spence
Sessegnon
Reguilon
Emerson

Where as with Slot and his 4231/433 hybrid, his fullbacks seem to mix it up more, get high and wide as well as tucking in at times, so we’d probably be able to develop Udogie, Porro, Spence and possibly Reguilon or Sess too.
Udogie would be fine, he often cuts inside and has played LCM in a 3 man CM before.

I think Emerson would be fine too but it wouldn't be getting the best out of Porro.

Each to thier own, I'm not fussed either way. Though I do think a lot of the anti-Poch is more 'anti-levy get out of jail free card', than specifically him.

They have included caretakers for us while ignoring them for the rest. Another case of twisting the facts to suit an agenda.

Moyes, Giggs, Van Gaal, Mourinho, Solskjaer, Carrick, Rangnick, Ten Hag. 8 Since Ferguson left if you include Caretakers.

It's actually 24 for us without caretakers.

To many people twisting the facts regarding us including our own fans and it's tiresome.

Nagelsmann should be the only option and Levy should do everything needed to make it happen. All the rest of the names are Meh to me - Gallardo and Slot might have something about them but not enough to pull the whole club together from the get go like JN. I think its JN or bust for Levy
I couldn't disagree more, I actually think it's Gallardo who has that something about them to pull the whole club up.

I think Nagelsmann will bring a sense of expectation that I'm not sure he is yet capable of and it strikes me that he will always have an eye on the vacancies of the bigger clubs, so won't be 100% committed.

Gallardo won't quite have the same expectation on him and he has that air of Pochettino/Argentine loyalty/commitment/honor whatever you want to call it, that I think the whole club will respond to. IMO, he would be Pochettino 2.0 but with the experience of winning trophies with underdogs.

I completely think Nagelsmann should be on our list. Unless he has said he doesn’t want to come here I think it’s a mistake to write him off just because a bigger club are interested in him. After all if Chelsea wanted Slot he would probably be the same.

BUT you have hit the nail on the head here. Aside from the tactics, the methodology, the experience of building a project etc the summation in the last paragraph is exactly what makes him the perfect option imo. The character and belief of the man is very exciting, he’s one of those managers that would just perfectly fit our DNA that we have tried hard to forget in the last 3/4 years.

I know it’s waisted effort, but again how one can can look at Slot and Ange and put them as our top two choices and not put Gallardo in there is crazy. Especially when one considers Postecoglou is 57 and never managed in the top 5 leagues.
