Gallardi os on the list with the others
That is brill news mate thanks for the update and would absolutely LOVE Gallardo but no way Levy has the cojones to make that kind of appointment.

When it comes to Levy's list...

Have any ITKs heard, as I have this morning, that the club is "briefing strongly against Nagelsmann" to the press?
It seems Baldy was less than impressed with JN's response to being approached.
Just passing on what I was told.

good vid here on the next manager thoughts. A lot of nice analysis on the different styles of play.

Thanks for sharing but I'm now exhausted after watching. Guy must be paying the cameraman by the minute so talksasfastaspossible!

What was his response? I haven't seen that but obviously haven't read every page!

Sounds like the ten Hag fuck up with Levy thinking he lacked charisma

Can anyone explain the enthusiasm for Gallardo a lot of people have? From a brief bit of research he doesn't seem to have any experience at all in any of the European leagues and has basically managed one club in South America for the last 8 years.

Is it purely because he plays a nice style of football? Is he just the hipsters choice? Struggling to understand it at the moment...

Levy’s approach being from behind, with chloroform on a rag😂

Gallardo, Nagelsmann & Amorim - I'd be very happy with any of them.

Slot - I'd be cautious but interested to see.

De Zerbi - I would like but I personally don't see it happening.

Most of the others can get in the bin

Although, I spoke to a player who played under Conceição and he thinks he'd be a great fit for Spurs as he was his most attack-minded/aggressive coach and had a good relationship with players.

Having said that the times I watched Porto I wasn't exactly enthralled. and Conceição is quite prickly with the press.

Well the fact he has managed a side for 8 years is a starting point for sure because it means he's willing to have a long run at something. He's also won everything there is to win in Argentina and SA. He's without doubt a very good manager, whether he can translate that across to an English side is anyone's guess but I can certainly see the attraction and why it would be worth a gamble.

Conceição basically plays Jose football from 10+ years ago. Same principles and tactics.

My first reaction to Arne Slot was "never heard of him", but having researched him I can understand why Spurs are interested in him. He plays attacking, positive football and is highly respected in Holland and won the Eredivisie manager of the year award last season beating Ten Haag at Ajax.

Here's what Guardiola had to say on the subject a few years ago:

"What Gallardo has done with River is incredible," Guardiola told TNT Sports.

"Some things are inexplicable. Every year three coaches are named as the best in the world, and he's never among them. I can't understand it. It's as if there's nothing else in the world apart from Europe"

and this is a decent read:

What... he didn't come rushing to London to rescue Levy's hide? To save him from his own incompetence?
Tsk... the nerve of some people... ;)

curlacious

Don’t look at me. I’m irrelevant.

It's quite plausible Nagelsmann won't be too interested in Spurs, and it's the fan excitement that's fuelling the media speculation in the UK. I'd rather we appoint someone who really wants to be here.

My only concern is how he would structure possession and use the ball - had the best players in South America for long periods to figure that out. His team would win the ball back high or however, but were quite pragmatic with the ball. His record is really impressive, and I'm intrigued by him, but I reckon he's more suited to another club in Europe first. Though, he may do amazing and we'll be kicking ourselves!

I disagree from what I have seen of him is attacking and high press football, 442 last season and 433 this season
Jose's football at Porto and in his first stint at Chelsea, is not the same as the football he plays now or did with us.
