But apparently Levy chats to Poch frequently so we've been told. We were in discussion with him previously when he was at PSG.

I'm not sure what else each party would need to know about each other.

It was said that Poch wants autonomy over the football side, DL is probably weighing up whether to bullshit him again or have fun bullshitting someone new..

Probably been done to death here but how much of a say could/would/should Kane have on an incoming manager?

Or do we suspect he’s done if we start the whole farce once again?
No player should have say regarding running of the club. Look what happens every season at PSG. where the DOF and owner allows player when to go on holiday and when to come back, who to sign and who to sell, who to hire and when to fire manager.

They haven't achieved anything yet by doing so.

Whilst It’s brilliant to get different views, I honestly can’t understand why we don’t just appoint Poch and move forward. All appointments have risk but if the leadership isn’t going to change I’d much rather roll the dice and “gamble” on poch then look at tuchel or any other name etc. Levy will never have a strategy so we might as well bring back a legend, then hope and pray there is a bit more cash/lessoned learnt than a few years back. The alternative of some drawn out negotiation with sporting or tuchel or “let’s see who is available in the summer” will end in tears and will be just like our transfer policy of “more CB’s will be attainable in the summer.” Poch is a good coach, a good person, knows the club and clearly WANTS the job. No brainer.

but how realistic is it to have lined up a manager for a job that was not and still is not available?

How quickly should they have settled on a target? Are they allowed to keep thinking about it should circumstances change?

Is it a good idea to talk to other managers whilst your current manager is still in work and was frequently ill?

Are they allowed to learn anything from what is happening now and how fans are reacting and should this be allowed to influence their decision at this late late stage.

Does our current league position have anything to do with how they approach things?

Nothing that is happening now Is particularly strange or irksome. There's nothing to get angry about. There's lots of interesting candidates... now is the time to form into factions around your preffered candidates and prepare for war...

The potterites
Team Poch
The tuschies

This place should be like the movie The Warriors.
Not like the movie Manchester by the sea.

Top class analogy!

Too early for Harry as Player-Manager I suppose...Iloris- Harry dream team.
He should have no say. Conte and Mourinho were probably in part rooted in an attempt to satisfy Kane and his immediate desire for silverware and look how they turned out.

Unless it's Harry as Player-Manager...:sneaky: see Dalglish 85

I would be slightly worried if we wait for the summer. This is because we could be looking at a lot of jobs having vacancies. Such as Chelsea, PSG, Bayern, Juventus and real madrid could all become available. Even Liverpool isn't outside the realms of possibility.
Why? Cos waiting until the summer always works out well for spurs!! 😂

Because from what I can see so far Poch wouldn't work under a DOF and thats how the powers to be wish to run the club for better or worse.

None at all unless he is signed to a new contract and he has direct financial investment.

Otherwise, he is playing staff only and needs to focus on playing

Fair responses on whether Kane should have a say but here’s the kicker - could/would he?

For me, as much as I agree with the responses so far, he will get some input. He’s our best player and likely captain for next season, he surely gets a say/some input whether he should have one or not.

Was it not all ITK that Kane put the final nail in Poch coffin first time around.
Yes, it was. But there were also stories of Kane and others going to Poch's house after the sacking to say sorry, commiserate etc

Unless he agrees to sign a new contract if a certain manager is appointed then I don't see any real point consulting him, he could give his recommendation and then ask to leave in the summer anyway.

I remember him saying he only found out about Mourinho's sacking a few minutes beforehand, and he definitely didn't give the thumbs up to Nuno getting appointed before going on strike that summer, so I don't think it's really Levy's style to ask the players what they want.
