why isn't levy an option in the list? It's clear the little bald fuck thinks he's a better manager than anyone he ends up hiring.
Donna as assistant manager and the rest of the board on the coaching staff. Let them do directly what they've been doing by proxy.

We are in trouble...

Aren't we just!?

How can you take zero accountability for a continuation of bad choices.

So Is guess Paratici gets the blame for all this, yet the guy who hired him won't place any blame on himself.

Levy, you are a fucking joke to the footballing world. A lot of fans stuck up for you whilst the stadium was being built but now you have no where to hide and we can all see what you are.

I know nothing about him but this Gallardo chap seems interesting.

As @Snarfalicious we need an identity because we've had an identity crisis post poch. We don't know what we are anymore. We don't have a defined style of p;lay anymore. We lurch from one extreme to the other without much thought or longer term vision.

We fans have a part to play. I still stand by that Poch should have been backed not sacked, that means from US as well as the board. Stop turning on managers. See it through, for once. To be honest I still think Jol should have been backed more by us and by the board. Having said that we need to do that NOW for Conte. Stick with him. I'm as bored and frustrated by our football as anyone, but consistently turning on our managers has got us where exactly?

Probably never because he’s done a fantastic job of making himself very rich?
However, if he was looking at a results based appointment, remembering he’s the highest paid in the league. Surely he would be saying that it’s not fit for purpose.

Don’t get me wrong, the infrastructure side of the club has done amazing! The football side has never been good enough for long enough. Largely due to him sacking, hiring, not backing and re-hiring again. Same cycle over and over again.

A true sign of stupidity is trying the same thing over and over again and the results are still the same.

I miss those first two years of Poch.
Got to get back to the attacking style of football and be brave to ditch the shit players (like Poch did in his first year). Defensive style just doesn't suit us imo. So whoever is next they need to encourage players, be brave and have passion for the club. Guardiola, Klopp, Arteta show so much energy and encourage 'football'. Poch was doing that too in his first few years. Makes a big difference imo. The older winners like Mourinho, Conte seem to just complain and criticise.

Come on now....
Haha I know. I know it’s left field but right now the football is so turgid. I’m bored watching us. It’s so slow and predictable. Give me anyone who’ll get us playing with a bit more intensity and urgency.

I don’t usually have time for Merson but his comments about Kane were spot on. We have one of the world’s best forwards and he’s getting by on scraps.

A depressing thing about Poch re-joining would be the fact we won't be far off where we were in 2014, except we have the new stadium. Starting all over again.

I've only just entered this thread and can't help wondering if I'm the only one who finds it depressing that we've even got a thread like this.

It’s not the defensive style not suiting us, it’s more we don’t have any defenders who can defend apart from one .

Was just thinking. How often do serial winners come in and do it at clubs other than Chelsea??

Klopp wasn't exactly a global serial winner whem he went Liverpool, he had won 2 Dortmund titles but had also spent 2 or 3 years not winning. What made him a good choice was his energy and fresh approach.

Pep is a serial winner but he's also pretty much always had all the tools at his disposal and City structure the club especially for someone like him. So yes he's a winner but its not the only reason City hired him, they wanted to develop the club in his mould.

United went for Jose and Van Gaal, two winners, yet failed.

City won titles under Mancini and Pellegrini who aren't serial winners.

Arsenal hired Emery believing he'd get them back up there but his style didn't fit.

Bringing a serial winner in has only really been a guarantee at Chelsea because that's just how they are set up. Hire winning coach, buy big players, win some trophies, have a drop off, fire coach. repeat.

No other club operates like that In England. We are now starting to but without the success.

We need to identify a coach who has a freshness about them and has a lot of energy whilst fitting with our profile.

We can't look at what a coach did at XX big club and think they'll replicate it. They won't because we are run differently.

It has to he an up comer or a coach at a similar type club from Europe.
Was thinking the exact same mate!

Aside from Chelsea, City and possibly Real Madrid or Bayern and for a while Juve there aren’t many jobs any manager can walk into and just win because the squad is so stacked with quality pretty much any manager has a good chance of success, more often than not there needs to be a clearly defined plan/strategy or ‘project’ if you like that is built over a number of years with astute player recruitment to suit that vision.

Klopp at Lpool is an excellent example Arteta is showing at Arsenal it’s a great approach, it worked for us for a while with Poch being given good control to align players to his vision etc etc.

This is why the likes of Jose and so far Conte quick fix serial winners didn’t seem a good fit for a club like ours as our squad just isn’t good enough, we need coaches who want to work with and develop younger players etc.

Also Jose and Conte’s football for the majority of the time has been horrible to watch so that’s led to impatience and frustration from the fans which means less momentum is built up also.

If Conte does go the worst possible appointment in terms of not learning from our mistakes would be Tuchel.

Id rather Poch or any other project type manager who plays good football it just has to be the way unless/until we get serious owners with huge cash.

If we want to go forward as a club, what does appointing Poch AGAIN say about our ambitions?

Exactly. It means 4 years have been an utter waste of time and money and thats absolutely inexcusable.

I'd be shocked if the hierarchy agreed to it as it makes them look incredible stupid and useless. But as Ali Gold said, they dont see they are doing anything wrong and thats the biggest issue at the club.
