Nagelsmann really excites but I am concerned about the talk of his meticulous preparation and this screams, I need to control every inch and don't trust my players, which we've seen fail recently, sounds like he fell out with his players too. I'm definitely not saying we should avoid, I think we've been given a massive opportunity but he needs to be able to communicate and trust his players or else we're just going to see another temporary upswing and then the same pattern repeat itself, he has to master the human side of things, he's younger so he should be more attuned to the current players mentality compared to say Jose.

Good. Let him have full control and decide who he can trust and who he cant. And most likely those players who let down Poch, Jose, Conte will eventually be gone. Lets stop giving these players free rides and hold them responsible.

Exactly, it's time to go all-in on a coach. Can't get to grips with his expectations? Gone. Upset with the training methods? Gone. I'm so tired of the players dictating our club's direction by downing tools. Conte's an asshat, but their lack of professionalism is a serious issue, in my mind. My concern is always going to be Levy knowing how to "accept defeat" and allowing players he values to leave (likely at a cut-rate), but that's a concern for another day.

It's hilarious how many managers/players were apparently Tottenham fans/had Tottenham shirts/watched Tottenham as a kid etc. As if even if it was true, it would be at all relevant.

Like Tuchel would turn down Bayern because, apparently, he was a Tottenham fan.

Or Nagelsmann would be more likely to join us because he once owned a Tottenham shirt.

I remember these kinds of stories going all the way back to Bergkamp, who was another Tottenham fan, apparently!
Exactly. Kane played in a Woolwich shirt.

We've been saying that for 4 years in a row now, in theory I agree with you but clearly in practice it doesn't happen and I don't see what evidence there is to suggest it's going to change.

Would be amazed if Levy isn't all over JN like a rash, he ticks all the boxes: big name, project manager, exciting football, available. He's got to be right at the top of our list.
I BE amazed if he is on Levy's list.....
-makes to much sense
-would harm his ego if JN already turned him down before.
- unlikely to spend high on salary again after Jose and conte.
- cheaper options available Frank, Mason etc...
- He will prefer a YES man.
But i live in hope 😀

If it doesn’t happen the board just need to act quickly. Another Nuno Summer will just pour petrol on the ‘flames’ fan base.

Going to be a sad day when we don’t get Nagelsmann or Poch

Yeah, it would be sad, but still plenty of good options out there.

I still fancy us to get one of Poch or Nagelsmann though.

Whatever Madrid decides to do will have a big factor.

Tottenham want to hold talks with Julian Nagelsmann - who is holding exit talks with Bayern Munich TODAY - as uncertainty looms over Antonio Conte's future

Tottenham want to hold talks with Julian Nagelsmann as uncertainty reigns over the future of current head coach Antonio Conte.

And Sportsmail understands that in a previous attempt by Spurs to discuss the manager’s position with the German coach, they were informed that the German coach has a soft spot for the north London club - raising hope that he may consider joining.

Bayern Munich are moving to sack Nagelsmann and replace him with former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, who had been on Tottenham’s list of possible successors to Conte.

But the fresh availability of Nagelsmann has put Tottenham chiefs on red-alert as they continue to plan for life without Conte.

Spurs have twice considered the 35-year-old for their manager’s role, most recently in 2021 following the departure of Jose Mourinho.

But at that point he was well down the road Bayern Munich and a deal didn’t materialise.

However, two years on Spurs are ready to revisit their long-term interest in the former RB Leipzig boss - a move that would undoubtedly excite the fanbase.

Conte remains absent from Tottenham training on Friday amid growing confusion over whether or not he will return to England.

Players and staff at Tottenham expect Conte to lose his job - but there was a feeling that his departure would have been formalised by now.

Talks over a the terms of the Italian’s exit have begun - a clear sign of Tottenham’s intentions.

But Conte, despite not being in the country, is still Spurs manager as it stands.

Ryan Mason and Cristian Stellini have been taking training in Conte’s absence this week, but chairman Daniel Levy knows he will have to provide clarity on who will be in charge of the team for next weekend’s trip to Everton.

Tottenham’s international players will start to return from Monday, when Conte would normally be back at the club’s Enfield HQ.

Don’t have full article if someone could help

Funny. When Kane is pictured in a Arsenal shirt as a kid it’s a load of bollocks.

when it suits tho some guy linked with spurs and the most tenuous of tenuous links to spurs in their history it gets lapped up as the gospel.
