I still think it will be Enrique. Seems to be more of a levy pick to me. Can’t see Levy taking such a risk on Postecoglou when he is under so much pressure and his PR is bad. Levy is clearly trying to restore his relationship and don’t see how this helps him

The problem with “he should prove himself at a mid table or lower team” is a) we’re midtable and b) if he did and succeeded he’d then consider us too much of a risk.

I want JN
I really really don't want Brenton

Its been made abundantly clear by those in the know Poch was never in the running so discounted him early

The rest of the options are all fairly similar in terms of pros and cons for me.... only time will tell. I will back whoever it is (not Brenton). Would like to enjoy watching us again, would like to believe we have a chance of winning things be that Anges way or Enriques way. Whoever it is lets spend more time in the oppositions half and bloody motivate the palyers

Bro, why are you arguing with an account that just was created 10 minutes ago. Use your brain.

Lots of new accounts in here all shilling a specific narrative. Wonder why?
Are there? I've only seen one new account and a lot of the positive Ange stuff has come from well known, regular posters.
If anyone's saying anything to fit a narrative, I think it may be your bit in bold.

But the use of the term "shill" crosses another square off the hyperbolic bollocks bingo card, so thanks for that.

I know a few of yous have done the same already, but a guy I work with is a Celtic ST holder ( he lives in Essex, and travels up to every home game). I've text him asking his thoughts on AP coming to spurs and he's replied saying
" Aye he's coming to yous, going by reports coming out of Celtic. He's a bloody good manager, and yous will be playing exciting attacking football. Them players better be ready to run for 90 mins, or they'll be out the door. Had no idea who he was when he first came to Celtic, but he's been amazing ".
He then sent me a voice note saying" he demands full control on signings. He wants nobody getting in his way of players who come and go". He reckons this will be a big stumbling block with us and levy.

I'm, like many of you who's sitting on the fence with AP, but if he comes in will back him 100%

that’s contradictory, he demands full control on signings? We all know he won’t get that so def not coming 😁

If he's going to control signings then it would surely mean Munn is taking the reigns as well. I know the narrative is that Levy is a control freak but I honestly believe he's OK if the targets fit the budget. He only steps in when things get too expensive. We got Perisic because he was free but Bastoni was too expensive. If Ange is more reasonable with budget then it could work well. Similar to Redknapp who got a lot his players because he was used to working with a small budget and the signings were bargains.

This is probably the best model for us as long as Levy is here. Get someone who targets bargain players to fit his system and fit our budget. It worked with Jol, Redknapp and Poch for the most part. The issue with Poch was he outgrew that model and wanted to push on to sign players like Mane, De Jong and Dybala. We will never go to that extent. Our best chance has always been to buy young players and develop them together into a top team. The built not bought model.

I'd still prefer Enrique but if it is Ange then will obviously support him. Just think Enrique is the far better candidate.

I asked because I remembered thoroughly enjoying watching Spain at last year’s World Cup… the way they pass and move, create chances and carve teams apart is very incisive and honestly, not really seen before

so I went to trusty YouTube and from the highlights of how his barca and Spain national team played, defences had no answer against his attacking tactics - so many clever triangles, dummies, runners from deep, lay offs creating shooting chances and his attackers are always moving!

one of the chief complaints of poch end era and Nuno, Jose n Conte was that there is hardly any attacking movement esp when teams sit deep… most of Enrique’s teams’ goals seem to be against not just defences who sit deep but where there are 5-8 defenders in and around the box, and yet they find ways to create chances and score

if he can make morata look so good, imagine he has Kane son and richy (because most of the above goals are scored in the box and there’s where richy will benefit)

think Spain only went out of WC cos they are too young (youngest average squad age iirc) n inexperienced

i really don’t get the negative reactions at all… I really like the clever attacking plays as well as the fact that his teams score against packed defences
But … how tall is he? 🙄

Honestly, I don't even think Rodgers is that bad. Saying that, if he were to be the chosen one, I will quit supporting the club until his sacking/resignation. He's done at the top level

come on then Raven, since you disagee, maybe you could educate me by giving me some of these new accounts that are somehow "shilling" ?
I mean, you know having duplicate accounts is a banning offence, right? Or are you suggesting the club has infiltrated SC?! 😁

Is Ange the perfect candidate? No he isn't. But are people forgetting that coaches in the dutch league, in the Championship and even coaches without a job appear to be turning their noses up at the role. Working with Levy is clearly not particularly appealing at the moment.

The direction should be towards a Poch, Slot or Ange type coach and with the first 2 being no goers now then Ange would be my pick too. Nagelsmann aside, who I believe has walked away after initially talking to Levy, there is no available coach in this mould who has a glowing CV of trophies in the top leagues. This is an unachievable target.

If we assume Nagelsmann is out of the question who exactly do all the #NotoAnge people actually want?
Enrique - Who's only particular impressive spell as a coach was with a fantastic Barca squad. Take that out and he wouldn't even be being mentioned for any job in the Prem.
Amorim - Similar style to what we've had in recent years. Impressive in Europe but 4th in Primeira isnt brilliant. Also doesnt speak English.
Potter - Another Chelsea reject? What De Zerbi is doing has raised questions on Potter's tenure at Brighton.
Rodgers - Really??
Do people really believe this?

Slot, we didn't get him imo because of the release clause
Nagelsmann, we didn't get him because Levy doesn't want to hire one of his three DoF's
Championship, LOL who company, he would jump if we was serious
