I’m like you Trix. For it to possibly work you have to get out of his way and back him his way.
That’s good, we’re brilliant at that

So it’ll be a complete disaster then. The exact same was said about Conte when he came in. “He doesn’t need superstar signings, just the specific players for his system”It will only work if a Levy backs him all the way. The good thing is Enrique will not want Galatico type signings.
I think it be easier if we just use his nickname Lucho, it’s what he was called by Barca fans.Also. It’s Luis Enrique. His surname is not Enrique.
There's little point watching his Barca team
Didnt he also publicly rule out spurs or did I imagine that?
Understand your point but imo this is worse as we have known since Nov latest Dec that Conte wasn't staying so they've had a much longer lead in time than with Jose to try and get the situation sorted.I still think this is a misleading stat - we’ve had much more of this time during the playing season. Nuno was appointed on 30 June (mainly because players coming back for training and needed a manager!)
If it surpasses the previous time I’m not fussed as long as it’s in the next couple of weeks.
blimey, we’ve made it to nickname status already? Is the Ink dry on the contract?I think it be easier if we just use his nickname Lucho, it’s what he was called by Barca fans.
That 15 mil will go towards his wages I'd imagine. He'll want a damn site more than Slot as he's already got a much better CV trophies wise.If it’s a choice between Slot for 15m and Enrique for nothing and that 15m going towards a vital CB then it’s an easy choice. Our next manager will need big money spent on a GK and CB regardless of who they are, absolutely non-negotiable for me
I'm going for rickyI think it be easier if we just use his nickname Lucho, it’s what he was called by Barca fans.
The same would be needed for Ange and Nagelsmann so you could copy and paste your response in regards to most of the managers we have been linked to.So it’ll be a complete disaster then. The only positive I can take from the state of play right now, is that none of the apparent candidates fill me with any sort of confidence. So my expectations are very very low. So I might just be pleasantly surprised.

Figure we have a couple of days before he backs out of negotiations so we need to make sure he has become like a second farther in that time.blimey, we’ve made it to nickname status already? Is the Ink dry on the contract?
Any manager at all.The same would be needed for Ange and Nagelsmann so you could copy and paste your response in regards to most of the managers we have been linked to.
Didnt realise til i saw your line up how much of a spanish speaking presence we had in our team/squad. Add Laporte, Raya and Olmo and the stadium self fill stations will need to be fitted with Sangria. Thanks Trix and I see your reservations but I think we could do far far worse than L.Enrique all things considered so if it’s not Big Ange then I’ll cross my fingers on this one as I think he would be next best.
As someone posted earlier, he could work very well with the likes of:
————————-new GK———————
—Porro——Romero—-Lenglet—Reggi
————————-Bissouma—————
————-Bentancur———Lo Celso——
——-Kulu/Gil———-Kane———-Son-
Then add to that:
-Spence
-Udogie
-Dier
-Emerson
-Sarr
-Richarlison
-Devine
+ 3-4 signings
and you’d have the makings of a nice new project.

Loosen ricky.I'm going for ricky
‘Talk is gathering pace’ TrixWith a lot of our squad now being South American / Spanish speaking, Enrique might make some sense.
who was that other guy we had a few years back, Spanish speaking, was mildly successful? Is he available?
I remember Enrique was a multi faceted player in Championship Manager many year ago, hope he’s a versatile manager too!
ps - has anyone actually heard we have approached him?
