If we're moving to a data-driven approach in signing players, there's zero point in appointing the man in charge of that by just who Munn knows. There's loads of data sets of which clubs are getting most value of their signings. Apparently Levy's used consultants in hiring before, so would think this is the way they'd go.Also, distinct possibility that in such a "small" industry the top guys would know most, if not all, of the top guys. Even if Munn was working mainly in Asia, my bet is he'd still have good knowledge of the best scouts and directors in Europe.
