So the Geordie supporters have demanded that the people that delayed the takeover explain why .
Let me make a guess the murder of Koshiggi
Human rights record
premier league football TV pirating
The latest newsies that the man who sanctioned the death of Koshiggi has given the go ahead for another execution .
If that is not clear and obvious to the Geordie faithful then they are the saddest of sad people in sad land .
There’s really little that they can do. I’m guessing that Staveley is encouraging it as she seems to be more upset than the Saudis and the Reuben Brothers but then to my knowledge she has now tried several times to be involved in the takeover of a club and this was probably her best bet.

The pirating of Premier League football is the only reason the takeover was delayed. If you believe the PL or most sporting organisations care about the murder of Jamal Khashoggi and Saudi's human rights record I have a bridge to sell you.

It’s crazy that the Saudis made little effort to resolve it if that was the only reason. The most recent issue prior to the takeover collapsing was that the PL were supposedly concerned with a lack of transparency over who would be in charge. The PL certainly seemed to be stalling in the hope that it would all go away. If piracy was the only reason, I can’t understand why the PL didn’t highlight that as it was a strong case. Perhaps they were never convinced that piracy would be resolved even if the Saudis had given undertakings. Do you reckon that was likely the reason?

"I know they were also looking for an Italian coach, [Massimiliano] Allegri or [Luciano] Spalletti."

According to Immobile they were after an Italian coach when they approached him about a transfer last month should the takeover go through.

It's a shame they didn't get Immobile. Don't get me wrong. I like him as a player, but he has a very specific limited set of skills and I don't think they'd shine through in the PL!

Ironically, mobility is probably his main strength.

The Saudi interest in tackling piracy lasted about a week or two before they seemingly came to the decision that messing around with Qatar was more fun than potentially owning Newcastle Utd. The takeover was dead the moment it was announced beIN Sports had had its broadcast licence in Saudi Arabia cancelled.

Think the reason the PL didn't highlight it is because they were sensitive about receiving similar criticisms that FIFA got over the selection of Qatar as 2022 host. Wouldn't look good if they admitted that the stumbling block was intellectual property rights rather than Saudi Arabia's human rights record.

It must be hard enough being a Sunderland fan but I wouldn't wish this con artist on them. (If you don't know who he is)

I don't understand how this prat is getting this far with this takeover, as part of the Fit n Proper test (or even basic anti-bribery compliance) you need to state where you get your money from, surely 'From an non-existent energy drink that i pulled out my arse" isn't good enough?

I was chatting to a mate who is a Sunderland fan and he is very suspicious of a takeover bid being played out in public like this. It’s like the latest Newcastle instalment with Chopra supposedly fronting a consortium; whilst admittedly there does seem to be something in it, why play it out in public?

What a bunch of morons some of their fans are:

A group of Newcastle United supporters is threatening the Premier League with legal action following the aborted takeover of the club this summer.

The group, named "Newcastle Consortium Supporters Ltd", has sent a letter before action to the Premier League, accusing them of having breached competition law.

Imagine what must exist behind the ears to be so annoyed that an immoral ownership couldn't buy your club that you threaten legal action. It's beyond the Liverpool levels of embarrassing behaviour.
